r3 drunken master 2 and other dvd comments
 

well, i ordered drunken master 2 from hk b/c i wanted the cantonese soundtrack... what i failed to realize is that it doesn't have english subs... :dOH: oh well, i can sort of live w/ the korean subs and of course, i pretty much know the whole dialog anyway ;) the only other copy i had was a VCD version so the video quality is very good. (but that damned warner case... :mad: )

i also got the dark korean comedy "quiet family" (HK version) - and the video is ok. it is supposed to be letterboxed but it looks very close to full screen mode. it is funny! :D the dvd comes in a clear case and looks pretty slick. w/ a couple of small movie cards. didn't realize the guy from Foul King was in this movie too. the video is passable... definitely not a Good transfer. the english subs are sometimes not complete. but they're decent. i hope a Korean version comes out as it is funny enough to be a part of your library.

will post further comments about Chingoo (Friend) after i see it.
