Futurama or Family guy, which should I buy

I just got a region free dvd player, and wanted to know which I should get first. I will be getting both....eventually.

I live in the UK and have both set's and in my humble opinion.. taking for granted that we arnt comparing sound picture etc (both are excellent)

Futurama is the better pack, the commentrys on every episode are hilarious. Lots of extras, found out they have created 3 alien languages so far. Everytime the fans crack it and put it on the net the writers try and make a harder one. Its full of cool stuff, if thats your bag

Family Guy is a superb cartoon but a fairly disappointing package as a dvd. The very definition of bare bones. chapter stops is your best extra on this one.

Without a doubt...

Family Guy!!

I'm a huge Simpsons fan, yet just cannot get into Futurama.

As much as I love Family Guy I would go with Futurama. The commentary alone makes it worth the purchase.

I own the Family Guy discs and highly recommend them. I never really got into Futurama though.

Comparing the shows alone, I like Family Guy better.

Since these aren't Region 1 DVDs, I'm moving this to the International Forum.

You forgot to put a "both" option in your poll . the Futurama package is great looking and has some nice extras and as it's been pointed out Family Guy is is bare bones but i'm on fourth viewing of the family guy set and it always amazes me that i'm always finding a nasty little bit that i missed on a earlier viewing.

so if it has to be one,

or else!!!

Thanks for the opinions, and I did say I would get both eventually.
For now I'm going with The Family Guy.

I usually go with Bensonsworld, they ship to the US & inc. the cost of shipping with the disc. If I remeber correctly it cost $ 28 & arrived in a week. Use this link if you like:
http://www.bensonsworld.co.uk/detail...=7000000065913

I'm not endorsing one site over another, just my own experience mind you.
Always check out dvdpricecheck.com for those R2-R4 discs.

Must agree about Bensonsworld. I got Futurama and Family Guy from them. Great service, quick shipping. I got it in about a week. On top of that, when they saw I was from the US they asked if I knew these releases wouldn't play on a standard DVD player. Nice...
