Fat Girl (A ma soeur)?

I'm surprised we still haven't heard (at least I haven't) of a region one release... Does anyone know if the Region 2 French version, found here at fnac, has english subs? Or if not, is there one other than the Hong Kong version all over eBay that has English subs?

If not, does anyone know anything about the quality of the Hong Kong version?

Thanks in advance!
Jon

No idea, sorry,... but I did finally see it in the theater a couple of weeks ago. Good film.

Damn... alright, option 1 out the door... and I realized a little while ago that the Region 0 is full frame

Guess I'll just keep waiting... hopefully it's just taking a while. I figure if Romance X (which mostly got panned) gets a Region 1 release, Fat Girl (which mostly got praised) certainly will... eventually.

I would expect an R1 release to be heavily cut.

Why? Was Romance X cut? Was Baise-Moi cut? Was... well, there aren't that many. Obviously an uncut version would never get in a Blockbuster, but it should be available.

It will be cut, yes - in Canada

Blame the Ontario board for that.

Tartan will be releasing this in June in the UK. I believe it was shown uncut there theatrically, which means the DVD would also be uncut.

Yeah, banned in Ontario. They are so unenlightened over there.

I hope you're right. I keep confusing DVD with theatrical release.

By the way, did this get a theatrical release in the US?

But very small... on the Tartan release... I'll definitely be getting that. Any word on whether or not it'll be widescreen (please no P & S, please no P & S, please no P & S)?
