Yep. Nothing spins, just enough power to keep the settings active.

I like the red logo.

You can turn off the player, but do it through the remote, not the button on the front panel of the player.

So, the word Malata in red, is just like a clock on a VCR? All the components turn off except that?
Yes.

Has anyone watched the new Jerry Magure Se on the Malata 996? At the beginning when Jerry is talking about the young sports stars, everytime the camera flashes it causes my entire screen to flicker, i have noticed this on another DVD but can't remember which, so i think its a player problem. Is it just mine or have others got this weird flicker?

No problem with Jerry Maguire and my player...

Although I have had some weird banding or interlaced separation on some Hong Kong Legends DVD's... not on any other ones though. When a scene cuts really fast the interlaced bands seperate(if this is even the right term someone help me out if this is wrong) for a second or two... Kinda like if you have the wrong video filter picked. For example is you have the still filter picked for a region 2 NTSC DVD the bands on the picture separate. Anyone else have something similiar happen???

use the STILL filter for the PAL dvds not the r2 NTSC ones
