Weekly Korean Movies in D.C. at Embassy

Has anyone been to the Korean Embassy for their weekly movies?

I think that they're supposed to be free. I can't wait until my Tues. evenings are free!

How is the movie displayed? On a Big Screen TV? Projection?
Anyway to know what movies are being played when?

They're shown on a 19' Goldstar TV . . . I really don't know, but at the embassy's webpage ("Mission & Services" -> "Information and Cultural Service")they say:

The Service's 50-seat auditorium is well equipped for lectures and presentations in slide, 16mm film, and videotape formats. A 15-seat conference room is also available for group meetings.

Archive

The Service has arge volumes of audio-visual holdings of several hundred films (feature and documentary), video tapes, and color slides that portray many aspects of Korea's industry, land, history, art and people.

Video: Those interested in obtaining a copy for personal or educational use may send blank VHS tape(s) to us with the program titles. LIMIT: five program titles per organization or individual.
Slides, 16mm: Only slides and 16 mm are available for loan. We ask that the request for loan should be made in writing; the letter should contain the applicant's home and work address and phone number, your driver's license and social security number, Federal Express or UPS account number if available, and the intended use of the material. All materials should be sent back to us within two weeks.

I first heard about this at koreanfilm.org's discussion boards, but couldn't find anything online which listed what movies are showing, until I stumbled across the City Paper's Online webpage in search of indie/foreign movie listings. Someone do a recon?

Correction: From the embassy's website, the showings are monthly, not weekly.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 01:53 PM.
