Not the UK R2 which is 1.77:1 whereas the movie was in cinemascope (2.35:1) according to Imdb.

The french R2 is in cinemascope but only has french subtitles.

If there is a Criterion coming it might be worth waiting

I emailed John Mulvaney from Criterion about La Dolce Vita and La Strada a few weeks ago. He said that they're hoping to release them sometime next year.

I think I'm almost caught up with my Fellini collection. I have all of the Criterions except for "and the ship sails on". I picked up Roma, Satyricon City of Women and Il Bidone from other distributors. As far as I know, that covers all of the R1 releases.

A Criterion La Strada is supposed to come out this year, perhaps in the late 2nd quarter or early 3rd quarter.

Don't know about La Dolce Vita, and it was shot in Scope, so the UK version is inferior due to cropping of the image.
