10% off at Cinestore.com (R2 France)

Cinestore.com

Use code PRIVES for 10% on all products excluding "Mini Prix" (not sure what that is). Books are only 5% off.

Expires January 31, 2002.

Plus they're already having a big sale with DVDs and other things up to 50% off.

Rats. They don't seem to carry the one French DVD I'm looking for, Latcho Drom.
Also, can't seem to figure out their shipping rates to the US. Anyone know how much for 1, 2 or 3 DVDs?

Their shipping charge for the US is ~ $12 per-order flat, plus $4.8 per pre-ordered item if any.

Ouch!
Hmm... seems like a very reasonable price to me. I pay less in shipping charges for 5 discs from Cinestore (France) than I would from most US retailers (including Amazon.)

Cheers.

A lot of people have complained that it takes a long time to get their orders from Cinestore. Over 30 days in numerous cases. Perhaps it was just because of the Holiday season.

I ordered 5 dvds from them recently and received them within 2 1/2 weeks - including 2 truffauts that are still preorder. I used the code DVDPASCHER which took about 5 euro off the order AND free shipping to US. It's a one time use only code and I'm not sure if it's expired but one can try. I found this code at the site dvdpascher.fr which has a coupon section.

oh and thanks cynthia.

Yes, DVDPASCHER expired on December 31st... I used it for Amélie, which took only 2 weeks to get here.

Here's a link to the coupons page at dvdpascher.net

I usually order only 1 or 2 DVDs at once so that's no deal for me. That's all I was implying by the "Ouch" remark. If you place large orders then I can see how that would be a good deal.

My last couple of orders from Cinestore got here (New York) in less than a week. And as each package contained 10+ DVDs, the shipping was a damn good deal. (The 90FF was actually less than half of the cost of the postage on the packages).

Just a note for anyone that may be interested in the French version of Wrongfully Accused... while it is indeed 16:9, it has forced French subtitles. You can remove forced subs with many Pioneer players though.

Cinestore has just increased their shipping charge for US/Canada to 20 Euros/order (of 2 or more items), plus 15 Euros/pre-ordered item if any!!!

I've moved the later coupon on to a general coupon thread - hopefully for a wider exposure- while leaving this one open: Benedict
