English Subtitles on Truffaut Box-Sets???

I would like to find out from current owners of the Truffaut 2nd and 3rd box-sets as to whether there are English substitles on the films and extras in these box-sets.

Thanks.

...the films themselves: Yes!

...the extras: NO!

. . . :o . . .

Even though the extras are not subbed I think it's worth it to pick them up. From what I saw when I compared the Fox Lorber transfers to three of the MK2 transfers, the French discs were better. The prints seemed more clear and solid. The two short films in the Antoine Doinel set (Love at Twenty and Les Mistons)are subbed, so in a way some of the extras are subbed.

Thanks for the responses. I ordered the 1st and 2nd box-sets. (I'll consult you, Hendrik, on the non-subbed extras :-)).

Jean-Luc Godard!

i take it the TRUFFAUTs are all ANAMORPHIC?

Speaking of wic.... anyone bought the R[2]-FRANCE box set of JEAN-LUC GODARD~ A bout de souffle, Le Mepris et Perriot Le Fou???

Are they ANAMORPHIC??? most importantly, ENGLISH subs????

however, the single discs contains EXTRAS... oh well.

You are correct the Truffauts are all Anamorphic. As far as Godard goes the newest version of Perriot Le Fou has subs and is anamorphic and is supposed to be superior to the Fox Lorber region 1. I don't know for sure, but I don't think the rest have english subs. Breathless was released in the UK and that is supposed to be the one to get. The release also has either a short film or documentary I can't remember waht it was for sure though. It is also full frame, so no need for it to be anamorphic.

Here is a review of Breathless
