Tiny portable DVD region hack

HELP. I've just bought my niece a TINY portable DVD player for christmas and I cant find the region free hack on their websit anymore. I hve bought some discs that she cannot play. Can anyone help to make her christmas day ?

try this:

press 1, then 0 then +10 then Previous then Next to bring up the region ID number on screen. You can now alter this using the cursors and select button.

From elsewhere on the net I found this little piece:

.... but these things can be unreliable:the article was referring to a Region 2 player model TPSL102. On the same site I also read:
