Hard Rain is much better in R2.

I have ordered Hard Rain from Amazon.de as it is anamorphic and has DD and DTS tracks with 30 minutes of extras. This was a very troubled production and originally was filmed as a totally different movie. I hope the documentary on this disc can shed some light on it. If you are a fan I suggest you check it out. It is a major improvement over the cruddy Paramount release.

Interesting. Is there a website out there somewhere that outlines the original version of the film? I never saw this in theaters, but I saw it on Mexican television (some station there was showing a marathon of this movie, believe it or not). It was pretty good...no masterpiece, but certainly not the dog critics made it out to be.

Hmm. I shall try a search and see what I can find. I do remember seeing daylight pics of this movie with characters that are not in it. This was back in '96 when the film was still schedualed (sp) for a Summer '96.

The R3 version is similar and comes with a book with the entire script. The DTS track rocks on it!

Is that 30 minutes of extra footage re-incorporated into the film?
