Heart of the Warrior (Daniel Monzon) or where to get Spanish DVD's?
I was looking for Heart of the Warrior (Daniel Monzon, Spain) on DVD and found it here:
http://cweb2.millenianet.com/cgi-bin...0&term=warrior
Anyone ever order from them? Site says they are in New Jersey.
Which European (Spanish I assume) online stores could I look at for comparison and possibly DVD review?
Of course if someone here own's this film on DVD I'd like to read your comments.
For those not familiar with this film, it won this year's Fantasia Film Fest "Best International Film" award (i.e. non-Asian film). You'll find info and a trailer here: (just click on "English" and access the "Listings" section, then click on "Heart of the Warrior" :

Bit cheaper at www.dvdgo.com
Search under el corazon del guerrero. As a US citizen you shouldn’t have to pay the European tax and their shipping costs (to the UK anyway) seem reasonable

Me either - I’d kill for a green card
Can someone (AutumnNights?) give us a brief review of this movie and the disc? The trailer’s piqued my interest but I just need to know if the movie delivers.

Yup! AutunmNights, we await your comments on the film and on the DVD. Is it just a Conan/Xena flick with average fx, or does it deliver the Time Bandit/Manchurian Candidate political satire/fantasy the synopsis advertises? I missed it at the festival but it beat El Celo (Presence of Mind) and Ghost World for top International film so there has to be something good there!

I also ordered from veo-veo a few months ago and have watched the disc twice so far. Quality is pretty decent although my crappy region-free player stutters a bit towards the end of the disc. The movie itself is very entertaining. Most won't be able to look past the flamboyant adventurer duo in their loincloths but the underlying political message is a new spin (if not a bit hamfisted) and the disaffected teens are real enough. It's certainly a very dark movie -- in tone and look -- but I'm glad to have seen it.
