La Femme Nikita - French version questions
Search seems to be down right now (just sits there when I click it) so I ask...
Anyone have the French edition of LA FEMME NIKITA and how is it? Is it 16X9 and is there an English subtitle track that is not just a copy of the English dubbed track, like MGM's screw-up?
Is the French original 2.0 or remixed 5.1?
Thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a good chance MGM will re-release this title as an R1 special edition in the near future? They've announced plans for a Fargo SE, Usual Suspects SE, and RoboCop SE so I'm hoping Nikita will be given the same treatment. As for including the original soundtrack and having good English subtitles, who's to say what MGM plans.

Single sided? Hmmm... I have been fairly disappointed with many single sided Euro releases. Too many artifacts. Will look for reviews.
UPDATE: Wow! There is a bit-rate meter listed for the release on that site! Very cool. It fluctuates between 3.0 and 9.0, but averages a 5.5. Not bad, but not great, considering most European DVD companies are not as advanced as U.S. and Japanese companies at reducing artifacts.
