Hi and welcome to the forum,

DVDTalk.com is a Region 1 DVD forum and as such Region 2 DVD discussions belong in our International forum which is where I have moved this thread.

I remember hearing that Futurama was going to be released Region 2 a long time ago, and now it will be here in 2002, so Family Guy will make it's way here, we can only hope! I'm going to have more money than i ever thought i would in TV cartoons, South Park, Simpons, and Futurama, and Family Guy, maybe King of the Hill eventually.

Does anyone have any specifics? All the sites I've checked just have a price, the release date, and a synopsis of the show.

How many episodes?

Any extras?

ANY pertinent info.....?

DRAG! Another set back aparently:

http://www.blackstar.co.uk/video/item/7000000065913

Blackstar has this moved back until Nov 26th.

No word on details yet, but the first season "should" have these episodes, per the recent ebay auctions:

'Death Has A Shadow'
'I Never Met The Dead Man'
'Mind Over Murder'
'Chitty Chitty Death Bang'
'A Hero Sits Next Door'
'The Son Also Draws'
'Brian: Portrait of A Dog'
'Peter Peter Caviar Eater'
'Running Mates'
'Holy Crap'
'If I´m Dyin´ I´m Lyin´
'Love Thy Trophy'
'Death Is A Bitch'
'The King Is Dead'

so we wait ....

Jobronie: No extras. Just the 14 episodes of the first season.

I'm getting this. Does anyone know any R2 sites that ship to the States reliably(and inexpensively preferably)?

Has anyone else received their Family Guy season 1 set yet?

I got mine, and I'm very pleased with it, but had a couple of questions:

Did anyone else notice the apparent pixilation? It appears vividly in the backgrounds when they show the outside of the house, etc. It looks like the solid outline of the house is moving... did this happen in season 1 only? I don't remember this from watching it on TV.

On the 2nd episode, does it seem like the volume dropped about 200% ?

Picky, but if that's all I'm unhappy about, this set is awesome. I wanna write Fox.co.uk and ask when Season 2 is coming out

yortdog, I immediately noticed some swimming lines on the image. It looks a little like "Squiggle-vision" (ala Dr. Katz). I also don't remember that happening on the original broadcast. I chalked it up to PAL->NTSC conversion issues, but will have to investigate if it occurs throughout the series. I have only watched the first episode so far so can't comment whether it continues in other episodes, nor can I comment on the audio issue. I'll check it out at my first opportunity.

I ordered mine from http://www.bensonsworld.co.uk and they have free shipping worldwide. The price was around $30 American total. I got my set this week. God bless the Apex!

I got mine a week or so ago and have watched it right through, there where no probs with the picture or sound.

Only disappointment was the lack of any extras...at all.
