My Latest Order... :)

I have about 50 or so to watch from DDDHouse and yet I had to place a new order. One with DDDHouse and one with PokerIndustries (sorry HKflix - they snuck in just slightly cheaper than you on these items when you add the discount and free shipping... otherwise I would've totally ordered from you)...

My School Mate, The Barbarian
Battle Royale
Full Time Killer
Audition
Wicked Ghost
Wicked ghost II: The Fear
Bio Cops
As Tears Go By
Tell Me Something
Top Bet, The
Taxi 2 (DTS Version)
Taxi
Ring Virus, The
Evil Dead Trap 2
Blush - 1 (Magazine)
Ditto
Secret Tears

Anyway - thoughts?

do you have time to watch it all??? :O

i had Tell Me Something VCD. i think it's rather good. it's hollywood-thriller-style movie made by Korean. not look like Korean movie at all.
by the way, i'm the one who didn't like Shiri except for the first 10 minutes.

i like As Tears Go By. Taxi and its sequel is ok. make me laugh a few times.

would like to see Audition and Battle Royale. still waiting for the decent DVD version (with decent price).

the rest,,have no idea.

Well, I did like Shiri, and got my Taxi yesterday from HKFlix, and watched it last night. I thought it was awesome; there are great chase and driving scenes, and just an all around fun movie. I don't have a Region free player, so I will have to wait to see Taxi 2....

Now I'm intrigued about "Tell Me Something", are there any reviews up for this movie....

Bio Cops, u can throw this piece of crap away, it's just a poor (and worst than B grade movie) Bio zombie wannabe.

Wicked Ghost I and II is interesting, worth a watch.

Let us know what you think of the Evil Dead Trap 2.....

Didn't really think the first one was that great but sometimes sequals are better than the original like Friday the 13th Part 2 IMHO was much better than part 1 thus I continued to watch the series....

Same with The Ring and Ring 2 thought the Ring 2 was better... so if you like it I may give it a shot.

I think you'll enjoy "Fulltime Killer" -- fun movie. I particularly enjoyed the homage to "Point Break"! I liked the contrast in character between the 2 killers.

I'm ordering "My Schoolmate the Barbarian" in my next order too. Nicholas AND Stephen!

Roseart, here's a link to a review for "Tell Me Something":

http://www.kfccinema.com/reviews/hor...something.html

And this site has a trailer:

http://www.kino.com/screen/screenframe.html

(Which I'm unable to see because of my slow connection! )

I was very interested in this, but something I read elsewhere scared me off a bit because it sounds QUITE gruesome!

Re: My Latest Order... :)

My School Mate, The Barbarian - I've heard good things...
Battle Royale - Don't know what to think
Full Time Killer - I've got the VCD - want the DVD.
Audition - The cover looked cool - wanted to get the UK version, but wasn't sure about the film.
Wicked Ghost - supposed to be like HK's version of "The Ring"
Wicked ghost II: The Fear - sequel - I head they were dumb, but they were so cheap. I'm a HK DVD addict
Bio Cops - I think I knew it was gonna be crap, but I liked Bio Zombie so much I thought I'd find something interesting here.
As Tears Go By - heard good things
Tell Me Something - I don't remember what I heard, but I wrote myself a note to pick it up next time... which is this time.
Top Bet, The - If I can't get All For The Winner - might as well check this out.
Taxi 2 (DTS Version) - Saw the trailer and wanted to see the film.
Taxi - Figured I should see the first one as well
Ring Virus, The - Liked the Ring and wanted to see this version.
Evil Dead Trap 2 - I wasn't all that impressed with the first one, but figured I'd check this one out - I'll post my thoughts after I watch it.
Blush - 1 (Magazine) - looks like a cool magazine - I dunno.
Ditto - Looks kinda like Frequency but with a romance... sounds cool.
Secret Tears - Kinda last minute grab... looked kinda interesting.

Battle Royale-Excellent movie, but if you're a bit squeamish about violence, you may want to stay away from this one

Taxi 1 & 2- Excellent balance of action and comedy, just a whole lot of fun. One of my favorite series of movies ever.

Tell Me Something-a bloody serial killer thriller that I really like, and the lead actress was quite easy on the eyes(hey, I AM a guy), and the ending will make you watch it again and again.

I saw Takashi Miike's Audition at a film festival. The audience seemed rather bored until the last 20 minutes then they were screaming out loud (and a few ran out of the theatre). I loved it. Best film I saw that year.

Tell Me Something is good fun - lots of body parts.

I'm dying to see Battle Royale.

Actually, I've read that in Korea, Tell Me Something was being advertised as a "hard-gore thriller", so audiences in Korean were pretty disappointed, and the Korean trailer I saw basically made the whole thing looked like a action-packed thriller when the truth is that it's really more of a slow-moving psychological thriller with sudden bursts of violence. So I guess this is one of those movies where the less you know before going in, the better.
And can someone check if those Taxi DVDs would work on a region 1 player? I know it might've said region 3, but misprints on the boxes DO happen.
