Any R2-Spain DVD sites written in English?

If so, do any of them accurately list technical info (16:9 or not & English audio)? Also, are there any Spanish exclusives other than Short Cuts?

dvdgo.com has an English version that you can select from their greeting page.

As for you other question, are you interested in American movies available in Spain or Spanish language movies?

Unfortunately dvdgo appears to be down right now so I can't verify details but
I do know that "The Magnificent Ambersons" is available in Spain with a different title.

There a lot of Spanish language DVDs available with English subtitles.

I was hoping there would be some Spanish DVDs of American movies that are anamorphic whereas the Region 1 counterparts are not. Thanks for your help.

I haven't done a lot of research through their site for better versions, but if you liked the Dune miniseries, their version is anamorphic and 5.1 (unlike the R1 version).

codefree, the best resource right now are the forums on Mundo DVD. DVD Go is often inaccurate, especially when especifying audio formats and whether a title is anamorphic or not.

Some interesting titles which I think aren't available in the US:

The Magnificent Ambersons (SP title: El cuarto mandamiento)
Ikiru (SP title: Vivir) - Beware: video quality is appalling

A lot of the RKO catalogue (Cat People, King Kong, etc.) is being released by Mangafilms.

Also, as a general rule, avoid all material released by Filmax.

If you need, drop me a line and I'll find out.

Try this list of Spanish DVDs:

http://www.mundolaser.com/dvd01.txt

The titles are listed alphabetically within genre in a fast loading text format.

I can understand codefree's frustration. For example, Short Cuts (Vidas Cruzadas) is listed as 16:9 enhanced at DVDGo, but not 16:9 enhanced at mundolaser.

Perhaps the best approach is to post a title specific question. There are a few of us
here that speak Spanish (I am barely 50% fluent) and buy Spanish DVDs. There is always a chance one of us here owns a DVD in question.
