NTSC and PAL
Hi.....
This is my first post but have had a DVD player for a while. I have a Sony 735 player and Im thinking about getting it chipped from Techtronics... The Output is PAL > PAL and NTSC > NTSC. Is there any noticable difference between these two signals. My TV accepts NTSC on AV so If I buy a R1 disc when it is chipped the Output will be NTSC....... I have a Decent SCART cable and player is set to RGB. Thanks guys Rob |
If you watch non-anamorphic dvds you will notice your tv's scan lines a bit more on the NTSC discs. On the other hand my PAL Titanic looks pretty good-hardly any rats, I mean, scan lines.
On anamorphic discs, I can't tell the difference between NTSC and PAL. I have two 4:3 tvs with 16:9 modes: a standard 29" Panasonic and a line-doubled (480p) 36" Loewe. Cheers. PS. Remember the 4% audio speedup on PAL discs. |
