Post if you get In the Mood for Love LE R2 from amazon.co.fr!

With the delays in int'l shipping, it'll be great if people post when they get this dvd so others can look out for it (or start worrying).

I haven't got mine yet and according to the confirmation email, it should have arrived between 14th and 16th (10 to 12 days) via La Poste Colis Postal Eco.

I'm also waiting for it

I received a shipping notice on 9/4 and was told (I think!) via e-mail that it would
take 10 to 12 days or "par La Poste Colis Postal Eco (10 a 12 jours)".

At least, I'm not the only one waiting.

p.s. I did receive a package yesterday from HK sent on 9/14 via UPS express.
Anyone know what La Poste Colis Postal Eco is?

I'm in the same situation as you guys, and I haven't received mine yet either, so don't worry. All things considered, I'd be inclined to say that the recent events may have added a week extra to our waiting time. I'm hoping maybe it'll come late this week or early next week.

Ditto! I can't wait for this. The one review I read from Bullets and Babes has got me totally excited. Sounds like it blows away the Mei Ah version. I'm also thinking it will probably arrive at the end of the week.

Yup - since they were suspending all flights in & out of US, including cargo, the In the Mood for Love DVDs were probably stuck in a plane for a few days.

I feel like a giddy little girl every time I go home and excitedly open my mail box. Okay, I'm a guy, and that's a metaphor. Ugh.....

I just found out that a museum near me is showing the film on October 3rd. The set will probably arrive right before then. I'm trying to decide if I should save the DVDs & spend nearly half what I paid for them to go see it on the big screen first.

Definitely see it on the big screen first. I had the same dilemna when
the Mei Ah disc came out. I must have held it a month waiting for it
to hit the cinema here. Then I watched the disc that evening. Of course,
the Mei Ah disc didn't hold a candle to the film. As great as I hear
the R2 disc is, I'd still wait to see it on film. Maggie's cheongsam's were
a site to behold, they seemed to almost leap out off the screen visually.

You should definitely take the opportunity to see it in a cinema. It's a visually ravishing film, and the big screen obviously enhances that experience a great deal. I only wish I'd seen it more than once while I had the chance...

And I am waiting for my copy from Amazon.fr as well. I;m not sure why, as I told them to send the order when complete, but they shipped the first disc in my order on 9/3. Then, the very next day, they shipped ItMFL. Nice efficiency there, mes amis.

And, so we can be glad we are all informed consumers, look at what some poor schnook on ebay is paying for this set:

Lucky me - I just drove over to France and got myself a copy - it's an unbelievably beautiful set - I LOVE IT!

And even more, I love this movie - Wong Kar-Wai is just the best.

Sorry to bug all you who ordered and still wait for their copy to arrive, hehe.

Sebastian.

A little too inconvenient for me to drive there from New York (or fly there in light of the situation) so I'll have to continue waiting for my copy. It shipped when everyone else's did and I'm still waiting.

This may be of no help to you as I am in Australia, but my copy which was sent on the 7th Sept arrived here in Sydney this morning.

I really do not know how much effect the attacks have had on general International air routes, but I imagine it must have had some impact (albeit small).

regards, Tim...

I received a shipping notice last Thursday, and received it today - Monday morning!

So from France to Boston MA, USA - only 4 days!

It really is a lovely looking set - I can't imagine anyone being disappointed when they see it.

Which shipping option did you use -- standard or express?

I e-mailed them yesterday morning but I haven't heard back yet. If I hear anything from them I'll post again.

Just bumping this up to see if anyone has gotten their copy from the orders that were shipped on the 4th. I can't understand why people who ordered after the 11th are getting theirs, and we aren't. Wouldn't they want to get the backlog out first?

It seems that anyone who got a shipping notice on 9/4 hasn't received it yet. I e-mailed them on 9/23 but they still haven't responded. I'm giving them until Friday and then I'll e-mail again. If I don't have it by 10/4 I'm charging them back on my credit card.

I'm pretty sure I'll never buy from them again. This is the second problem I had with them. If they don't even have the courtesy to respond then they don't deserve my business.

I'm still waiting too

And now I'm really nervous, I just sent my credit card payment in hoping
that I'll eventually get my disc. I had ordered another DVD at the same time
and received two separate shipping confirmations on 9/4, neither of which
has arrived yet. I hope I don't get burned on this one.

I decided not to wait and e-mailed them today saying that I expected a reply or the DVD by 10/4 otherwise I'm initiating a chargeback. I think I'll go and order mine from Cinestore instead.

It's really only 5 days to a week late...In my Amazon account, the estimated arrival was Sept. 20...That is only a week....That is really lousy that they are not responding to any queries about our orders....(Maybe they need a translator ) Does anyone think contacting Amazon US would get any sort of response?

Amazon US is totally separate outside of your basic account information. Also, Amazon France can receive, understand and reply to e-mail in English because they have an option on there specifically to receive customer service in English (FAQ and e-mail) so there's no excuse for not responding.
