mini[Review]Dr. Wai In The Scripture With No Words
Watched this off and on last night, so I can't say I've seen the whole thing... however, what I saw was really quite interesting. The cover is a bit misleading (as is the title) - it's a pretty creative film. It's about a writer who is going through a divorce and writer's block... Jet Li plays the writer and his colleagues help him overcome his writer's block by helping him write a novel. As they write, they cut to scenes of Jet Li being an adventurer - these scenes are sort of like Indiana Jones-ish. It's kinda like Neverending Story meets Indiana Jones meets Jackie Chan's Armor of the Gods films. It's quite entertaining and has some decent special effects (CGI and make-up wise). Production values are up there on this one considering when it was made. I'm eager to watch it again all the way through - but what I saw, I liked. :)

cool!
Hey Trigger,
Thanks for taking the time to write up that review. I've been wondering about this one myself. Sounds good! Audio/video quality is about average for an HK flick, I take it? Not that it matters a whole heckuvalot..... I dig the sig too, real nice! zipflint |
Well - Audio/Vid is almost up to par with MegaStar or Universe - it's pretty good considering it's a Mei Ah. The cover is misleading... it's totally worth picking up for under 10 bucks.
