Straight from the "horse's mouth":
Sorry for not answering earlier - I was on vacation.
Thank you for your comments on Solaris. We really appreciate that.
Stalker will be available throughout the world in early November.
Don't hesitate to contact me should you have any more questions.
Sincerely,
Yelena Chistopolova

REJOICE!!!

RusCiCo, use every spare digital bit and advanced film cleanup system and wet-gate printer you've got, because this is one of the greatest films of all time you're dealing with.

(I still am seriously considering their Andrei Rublev even though I own and love the Criterion.)

True. At the very least it's one of the most fascinating and psychologically profound.

Question about RusCiCo: Do any of the North American DVD e-tailers sell its discs? I'm very leery of ordering from overseas.

Will, most people have been buying them here:

www.st-p.com

I haven't heard any complaints yet except 1) language barriers in customer service and 2) shipping costs to overseas.

I'll probably have to use them for Stalker and maybe Rublev because I don't know any others that carry RusCiCo.

Mirror is also slated to be released by RusCiCo. I wonder if it will be out before Stalker.

On the Ruscico site, MIRROR is slated to come out before STALKER (Mirror in 3rd quarter/2001, Stalker in 4th quarter/2001).

Did Ms. Chistopolova have anything to say about MIRROR's release date?
