review wanted - knockabout
 

has anyone seen this dvd ?? I have seen it on poker and on ebay from stiller66....can anyone comment on the quality ?? I remember seeing the movie years ago and enjoying it. I can't remember much about it, but I read that the fight sequences are similar in style to Warriors Two and Prodigal Son, two of most watched dvds......any info would be great...

I haven't yet seen the flick but have been wanting to.

I think the version of Knockabout hat is being sold by Poker has rec'd some none too favorable comments. Do a search for Knockabout on asiandvdguide.com and choose the "Goldsense" version. I don't kno what version stiller66 is selling.

I think the review states that the print is of poor quality and the subs are small, hard-if-not-impossible-to-read, and actually get chopped off in spots.

As far as I know the best bet to get this on DVD right now is to go with the Japanese release. The problem with that of course is the price (US$40-US$50 depending upon exchange rates)....arrgghh.

thanks for the heads up elengineer....yeah the review on asiandvdguide pretty much slams the dvd. I guess I'll have to pass and wait to see if its released.....no way I'm paying 50 bucks US for a dvd...thats like 75 bones Canadian...hopefully someone will re-release it....
