Bigas Luna DVDs, anyone?
Anyone else a fan of this Spanish director? I see that there is a Asian DVD of The Tit & the Moon, but does anyone know of the quality? Also, how about the UK DVDs of Jamon Jamon and Golden Balls? Now if only someone would get off their sorry asses and release Chambermaid on the Titanic, I'd be quite happy.

- Volavérunt - English, French & Spanish subtitles
- Jamón Jamón - English subtitles
- The Ages Of Lulu - English subtitles
- The Chambermaid On The Titanic - Spanish subtitles only

The UK version of Jamón Jamón is from a company called Tartan video. I call them the British Fox Lorber because of their talent for crappy releases of art films.
I recommend the Spanish version of Jamón Jamón. It has removable English subtitles and is also R0 and PAL. The movie is very Almodovar-esque and features a young Penelope Cruz.

Jamon Jamon is a fine film. I had the pan & scam laserdisc and I'll probably get the Spanish disc. I've heard enough about Tartan to know to avoid their product in most cases.

AGES OF LULU is about the sexual awakening of a young girl and is, if nothing else, probably Luna's most intensely erotic film. Sort of an extended Spanish 9 1/2 Weeks, for what it's worth. The Spanish PAL DVD is quite nice looking, with English subtitles.
Not sure if this info is appropriate in this posting, but I actually have a copy of Ages of Lulu up for auction on ebay at this very moment (along with a handful of other recent import DVDs from Spain).
