Region 2 price = £33.99
Region 1 price = £17.99

So, that's like $26 US.

Can't be off by much... the SRP of the R1 Simpsons: Season One set is $39.95 US and can be pre-ordered for ~$27 US to $29 US...

Yeah, but it's not typical of R1 disc prices in the UK. Usually if a R1 disc costs $30 at Amazon, then it will cost around £30 at a UK based etailer, to cover their costs - shipping, customs, etc.

I don't think Play247 can possibly be making a profit on importing this dvd if they're selling it at £18 - they would have to be buying it in the US at $18 at the most. Is that likely?

I think play247 has the price right. Amazon's prices are never comparable to play247's prices.
