Hi guys! I know it is not DVD related even if you can play VCDs on DVD players. I heard that some VCD collections like Buffy, Voyager, The Sopranos... were available on VCD in UK? Do you know anything about that? A link or newsgroup?

I've never heard of a UK VCD, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. VCD is a format that has mainly been popular in Asia, not Europe. In Asia the VCD took the place of VCR's a few years ago, while in Europe they've always used VCR's like us in the US.

For sets that you can get on DVD like the Sopranos, I would skip the VCD if available, it wouldn't be worth it. As for Buffy, again, I've never seen it or heard of it on VCD, but that doesn't mean it was never been made. But, I will say that things like that would've shown up on Ebay by now, which they haven't, which really makes me think they don't exist.

...since VCD died a well-deserved death (in Europe, that is) several years ago, I very much doubt that there is - or ever was - such a thing as a made-in-UK 'Buffy' VCD...

However... you can get series 2 on a six-disc DVD set:
