I have Legendary Weapons, Return of the Master Killer, and Dirty on pre-oder. If they are decent I will probably get some others.

Of all the kung-fu flicks released on dvd, I have foudn that ground zero has done the best job in terms of transfer (both Kid with The Golden Arm and Chineese Super NInjas were well done I thought). I even heard they are putting some deleted scenes in the Killer Army dvd.

I hope these titles don't get delayed. Amazon says they are released June 26 (this Tuesday). I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Just wondering if anyone else is ordering them ??

I'm very much interested in Legendary Weapons but I've been burned on too many classic Kung Fu DVDs to risk pre-ordering one before I've seen any reviews. Hopefully they'll be decent enough.

I'm very interested in these. If they're comparable to "Kid with the Golden Arm" (letterboxed, fairly sharp print), then I'll definitely get them. If they're not widescreen, I"m really going to be bummed out. Any word?

Ky-Fi,

Not sure of the quality. Kid with the Golden Arm was probably the best looking one of hte bunch. Chinese Super Ninjas was a fairly solid transfer but was only in full screen. When they arrive (I hope they ship next week), I'll post a small thread commenting on each.

Cool. Thanks, JHosk. Also, maybe you guys are already familiar with this, but there's a cheapie ($7.99) out at Suncoast called Kung-Fu--Punch of Death. Although it's not technically a Shaw Brothers movie, it has almost identical production values, and could certainly pass as one. I believe it has a lot of SB talent involved, too. It's from the early 70's, so the fight choreography isn't as fast as late 70's SB movies, but it's pretty good (and it's a Fong Sai Yuk story line). The picture quality is a little soft, but the colors are pretty vibrant, and it is widescreen. I was really happy with this one for the price.

Too bad the Chinese Super Ninjas disc is cut or I would have bought it.
