Maybe so, but it looks like a few of these threads on this subject have disappeared.

Still working for me. Does anybody have a clue when this offer is going to expire, so that I can time my DVD purchases accordingly?

No need for two threads....

From the start of the name on the coupons....
FCS-SAVE4-AMZN
SHE-SAVE4-AMZN

.... I'm wondering if it isn't a magazine promotion i.e. "She" and, perhaps, "Family Circle"!!

I don't know if the American Express deal has now ended. You applied for the Amex Blue credit card and, on acceptance, they gave you a voucher of £10 - ring 0800 700 789 for details of card and/or to see if offer still current.

Last week I saw another newspaper advertising an Amazon promotion with Mastercard but it looked as if you had to buy something before you got a £5 voucher/code for your next purchase.... anyone recall the URL? (Perhaps it will also be shown in booklets accompanying Mastercard statements).

I love you guys!

I just ordered the 2nd and 3rd Farscape sets from Season 2. I believe it was less expensive to order them individually (and use one coupon on each order), than to combine them:

Farscape 2-2: 20.42 + 2.95 - 4.00 = £19.37
Farscape 2-3: 17.01 + 2.95 - 4.00 = £15.96

Happy happy... Joy joy!

Re: No need for two threads....

Just located those Mastercard details

"Want to earn as you spend? With Amazon.co.uk and MasterCard, it's easy.

It's simple--all you need to do is spend £5 or more on your MasterCard at Amazon.co.uk before August 15, 2001 and we'll send you a £5 gift certificate--what could be easier?

Please read the following instructions very carefully to find out how to qualify for your £5 gift certificate. Here are the four simple things you need to do to qualify:

1. Spend £5 or more at Amazon.co.uk (excluding postage and packing)
2. Use your MasterCard as the payment method
3. Do it before August 15, 2001
4. Enter the following qualification code then we will send you your £5 gift certificate:

Your qualification code:

MASTERCARD-A2

Note: you must enter this qualification code in the "Gift Certificate" area when placing your order. This is what we will use to register you for the £5 gift certificate. This offer is only valid once per customer and per credit card.

Once you've met the four criteria, you will automatically qualify and will be sent your £5 gift certificate within 14 working days of your orders being dispatched from our fulfilment centre.

Click here for full qualification code redemption instructions and terms and conditions.

As usual, it looks like you can't combine the initial purchase with any other promotional deals.

Thanks for the code, oh and you do get £0.13 off when you use it. They probably needed some minimal amount in order to enable a code.

Any Vividence pannellists?

Bump to remind Vividence panellists to check their email. I just surveyed the Microsoft site for a $15 GC.

OK, you can't use them in the UK but at least these are proper GCs and will stack with a promotional one.

I have a couple now and will combine them with a $5 if needs be but am hanging on for a $10 or some other better offer

For those who don't already know about Vividence there is a thread here.

Ah well. I had never heard of that site before now. Any others (besides Blackstar and the now-defunct DVDplus?) I should be sure to check before buying R2 titles?

BTW - Play247.com does not ship to the US. I'm in Maryland (look under my name), so I couldn't order from them even had I know to.

Bensons World http://www.bensonsworld.co.uk is sometimes interestingly priced, especially because it has worldwide free shipping for DVDs. e.g. the upcoming sets of Farscape are £19.99, older sets £15.99.

I just tried to use the above but it wouldn't let me, said the conditions of the offer had not been met. I was trying to order Now 49.

I hate paying full price for things!

I just did some playing around with it and I can get it to work for £13.99 and above (couldn't find an item thats £13.00 exactly), I think they've increased the threshold to £13.00.

Does anyone know any really cheap items at amazon?

If you're an international customer you have to consider that the local VAT tax will be removed from the price of item, so if you choose an item around the price of the offer ie £12.00 you will come under the requirements of offer once the tax is removed.

You need to be looking at something priced about £14.60 or higher so once the 17.5% tax is removed for OS orders the price doesn't fall below £12.00.
