I am looking to find an inexpensive copy of the R2 (French) Release of the Luc Besson movie Subway. There is a really cheap version available in R1 (which I already own), but the video quality is horrible and it is full frame.
It looks like they mastered the R1 version using an old VHS tape, there is actually a line that goes across the bottom of the screen (like when a video tape gets slightly munched by your VCR).
Couple questions about the french release...
Is the R2 version in widescreen?
I have heard rumors that a new special edition may be coming out in Region 1...does anyone know if this is true?
I have looked at http://www.amazon.fr, but it would cost about $30 for it shipped to the US. I'm hoping to pay $20 at the most...
