I hope this is appropriate. I'm pretty low income & looking for a bargain that some one no longer wants. Must be registrable with Amazon & in good working condition. Please pm.

Had a depressing false alarm today. Cash America (one of the biggest Pawn chains in the USA) had the current model paperwhite for $20 in perfect condition. Of course I discovered it had been reported stolen to Amazon. They have an odd policy that one has to pay $1.00 extra to be able to return defective items. Thank goodness I paid it!

Speaking of which, I hadn't been in a Cash America in a couple years (I used to haunt them for product to resale). Their blu's are down to 3 for $10 & dvd's are $1 ea. Lame selection of blu's, though there were hundreds. The only title I even picked up was Empire Records in case I found two more. I didn't so I put it back.

The Tablets are way cheaper then the e-readers everywhere. I'm not sure why, I've never used a tablet.

Amazon's 7" tablets are brutal on the eyes, especially for older people.

That's good to know, since this is my 62nd b-day present to myself. I did really well price wise; this is copied from the BF hauls thread:

"Just got a $129 brand new current model 8 gb Kindle Paperwhite for $66 + tax from Amazon. It was marked down to $85 for pre Black Friday, & they gave me a 15% off credit for a bad software update to my old Kindle & another $5 credit for something or another.....

That's kind of the good & bad about Amazon USA: they screw up frequently; but they almost always offer a credit as an apology. The largest credit I received this year was $30; I don't remember what it was for."

Amazon allows used Kindles to be sold. The seller simply needs to delete their account from the device before sale.
