Movie Theater deals

Searched and couldnít find a similar thread, seems like a thread spotlighting various cinema chain deals could be useful.

Regal is my only real theater within 20 miles, so Iíve been using their Crown Club membership card point system and their app for awhile now. The points add up fast, and the app gives you 20 bonus points every Wednesday just for opening it.

Twice in the last year theyíve had a deal where if you watch 4 specific films at Regal you get Vudu codes for all 4. The current promotion is with Blumhouse films, started in March and ends in October with the new Halloween.

Re: Movie Theater deals

Iíve done all of the Regal digital download deals (thanks to MoviePass). I think they have done this about 4 or 5 times now. You have to catch all four in order to get them, which isnít always an easy task. This year they have only done one though, so I hope theyíre not done with these deals.

The downside I have discovered is that my local Regal theater doesn't always show each of the 4 films.

Yeah, as I was discovering the app last year I would have had to stop at a different Regal near work to get one of the four, Mother!, but I had already missed the first one of the cycle so I didnít bother.

Re: Movie Theater deals

I went to a Regal 90 minutes away from home for Breaking In . I was out of town for a work related matter, so I didn't go out of my way. Otherwise I would have missed it. One other time, I think I bought a cheap matinee in some other part of the country ($3-4?) because it was worth it to me.

Oh! I hadnít thought of that. You can buy a ticket anywhere in country using the app or website?

Believe so. Can't recall the exact particulars when I did it before. Think I used the theater website and just made sure I had entered my crown club info so it would qualify me for the promotion.

Perhaps someone can figure out and record where the cheapest theaters are. I don't remember where I bought a ticket from. I just randomly went down a list of theaters in the chain looking for an inexpensive matinee.

Re: Movie Theater deals

If you guys have a B&B Theater in you area and sign up for Backstage Pass, you can get discounts on movies, popcorn and drinks on Tuesdays. You also accumulate points on all purchases made at any time. Tickets you purchase along with concessions turn into credit in your account. They also throw some free stuff into your account from time to time. The biggest savings is the 4D movies on Tuesdays are really cheap for the first couple of showings. Outside of those, the 4D is around 16 bucks plus tax.

Received my digital copy of Equalizer today.

Here's the next "See 4" promotion. Works like the previous ones regarding bonus points, popcorn & digital copies if you see all 4 beginning with The Spy Who Dumped Me in a few weeks.

There’s another Regal digital code deal running concurrently, just started last week with Mile 22 and Happytime Murders, a third film coming later that I forget.

Re: Movie Theater deals

Figured Iíd link and describe a bunch of Regal deals, just as reminders and also in case the webpages disappear.

First, an early reminder to open the app every Wednesday for a free 20 points.

On September 1st, they are having a $5 per ticket Conjuring film marathon, with bonuses if you then later see The Nun.
https://www.regmovies.com/promotions/conjuring-marathon

On 9/13/18, a $5 popcorn drink combo if you see Mandy.

The Universal free digital copy promo still has one film pending, the new Halloween starting 10/19/18. Make sure you see it to get it and the earlier three.
https://www.regmovies.com/promotions...al-movie-bonus

The Lionsgate deal has the first film leaving theaters already, so see The Spy Who Dumped Me quickly if you want these four free digital titles later.
A Simple Favor - 9/14
Hell Fest - 9/28
Robin Hood - 11/21

Bump to make sure Regal customers are seeing Halloween to activate their 4 free digital copies.

There is also a newer similar Regal promotion from Sony; watch 3 and get them free digitally, Venom was/is the first film.

Re: Movie Theater deals

If you’re doing these Regal digital code deals, there are 8 or 9 active or debuting this week films in the queues. MoviePass is failing at just the wrong time.

Re: Movie Theater deals

For anyone doing the Regal bonus points/digital download deals, stay on top of it! I would even recommend going as far as to keep your ticket stubs. I saw Halloween as the fourth film to finish that set on 10/26 and was wondering where some of my digital copies were. I looked at my ticket history in the Regal app and see the ticket transaction, but where it normally lists the movie title itís blank for Halloween. I contacted Regal and hope they can resolve this. I jump through all sorts of hoops to see these movies at Regal theaters so this is pretty annoying.
I saw Robin Hood today (also to complete that set) and the title doesnít show in my Regal app history again. Yikes!

Received my code for the 4 Blumhouse films today. Says Halloween will automatically be added to my MA account at the end of December. I'm sad to miss out on all of these similar promos through Regal ever since MoviePass crashed and burned.

There is a Regal that I can drive by on the way home Tuesday nights after work, that has $5 Tuesdays. Iíve been buying my tickets there, and not necessarily staying to watch them. I figure $5 is a good enough price to own them digitally and accrue some Regal points. That reminds me, I have like 40,000 points to use before the end of the year. Whatís that, two films and a popcorn? Then another almost 200,000 points to use next year.

Iím relieved that I got mine as well. I like how they can all be claimed at once.
I also got confirmation for Robin Hood as the final title in that set.

Now I just have Bumblebee left for Paramount (already have my ticket for 12/8), and The Possession of Hannah Grace for Sony. Iíll probably buy a ticket for that one and sneak into something else.
On the unbranded set, I have only done Boy Erased so far. Mary Queen of Scots isnít opening in any NY Regals so I hope it will expand quickly.

Re: Movie Theater deals

Regal sent me an email today asking me to watch a trailer for Spider-man: Into the Spider-Verse and they would give me 300 points. Easy points for watching a 3 minute trailer. I currently have 14,685 points. I'm trying to get 18,000 for a free movie ticket before my points starting expiring on January 1st. I'm planning on seeing Ralph Breaks the Internet on Thursday to get the 250 bonus points.

Halloween popped up in my Movies Anywhere/Vudu accounts this morning, from this summer's watch-4 promo. Check your accounts if you qualified.
While AMC Alist >>>> Moviepass, I miss not racking up my Regal points, I've got about 24k that start expiring in May. And AMC doesn't seem to do the watch-4 deals. But instant $5-off is pretty good too.

Trevor 12-28-18 01:27 PM

Re: Movie Theater deals

Noticed Halloween today too.

With MoviePass pretty much dead, I’m buying $5 Tuesday tickets for these Regal promotions. I think I’m current, except for whatever is coming out this week.

skywalker8 12-28-18 02:06 PM

Re: Movie Theater deals

Anyone using AMC A-List: use Fandango to reserve your seats and youíll earn $5 Fandango credit for every 4 movies.

Re: the Regal deals: I have completed every single one of these, until now! I had to give up on the independent one. Local theaters werenít playing all of the titles.

^ Use the Regal app to buy a cheap ticket anywhere in the country. You may be wasting that $5-10, but at least you get all four digital films later.

have you found any specific theaters that tend to have them really cheap? I still need Mary, Green Book and Basis, and have some $5 Atom coupons I can use. Lowest I saw for one of them was $6.34. Too bad theyíre not in second run yet because I saw some Regals with tickets that were just a few bucks.

I haven’t done a lot of searching, have always been able to find things fairly local since I live in a metropolitan area, but when I have searched I’ve just put in random large cities and often get lots of choices. Many Regals have cheap Tuesdays.

Thanks for the bump, I still need Basis. Also, I think there is a new three film promotion, haven’t looked closely at it.

skywalker8 01-16-19 11:49 AM

Re: Movie Theater deals

The new three film promotion is for Glass, Happy Death Day 2U and Us.
This will be a tough one for me because theyíre the type of movies i would only want to see at an Alamo.

The current digital copy promo at Regal theatres is seeing Five Feet Apart, Hellboy, Long Shot and John Wick 3.

https://www.regmovies.com/static/en/...te-movie-bonus

I've now seen 2 of the 4, so might as well finish it out.

I saw Five Feet Apart and Hellboy with the cheap Atom Tickets T-Mobile Tuesday promo that I have linked to my Regal account. Hopefully they will offer promos for the final 2 films.
