Best price for Mezco BREAKING BAD Figures

Didn't think these would sell out so fast, but trying to find the Heisenberg figure at a decent price. IT seems Toys R Us carried them (at least in some locations), but none around here. They are on eBay for around 25-30, but am wondering if they are in any others store except TRU. I'd like to see check out the packaging ... (and maybe get it cheaper).

Hope they reprint these, but I don't think BB's popularity will warrant that.

Could kick myself for not ordering the SDCC exclusive. I saw it and didn't realize it was an exclusive or that it would sell out so fast ..

What is shoprunner? and thanks ..

It looks like they have a "free" membership, but they charge you upfront and then refund you the amount if you decide you want to cancel before it kicks in. I don't mind the "we'll charge you if you don't cancel the free membership", but don't trust stuff like this. . What is your experience with SR?

I've used them on a few occasions before. I like that I get 2 day shipping and it has saved me from having to pay for shipping on a few items from Newegg.

That being said, I had their membership for 2 years when it was truly free. Now would I pay or "pre-pay" for the membership? Not really, as like I stated above, I have only used them a few times. But some may get more use out of it than me.

Their have been few occasions when I have found something I wanted to purchase on Toys'R'Us' website site only to find out the Shoprunner was not available for that item. And without that, TRU shipping killed the deal. But that may be more of TRU doings than Shoprunners.

Re: Best price for Mezco BREAKING BAD Figures

Also, GoHastings has it listed on their website for $17.99 plus $2.79 shipping. Of course you would not get to see the packaging until you receive it. That is, unless you have a store in your area that carries them.

This is my first time hearing about these and I had no idea these were so popular. Now it's making me want to pick one up.

Also, while I could not find them online, if you have a Spencer's Gifts or maybe even a Hot Topic store in your area I would check them out. They usually carry stuff like this. Also stores like FYE and Suncoast(if they are even still around).

I've been using Shoprunner for a few years. They are pretty handy to have. They have free 1-year subscriptions on a somewhat regular basis, especially around the holidays.
If you have an AMEX, you can get a free year right now:

Shouldn't that be yellow or orange? I don't remember a green biohazard suit on the show...

Hastings went up to 29.99, so it's cheaper from TRU or eBay. I hestitated with Hastings because they have a track record (w/ me) of shitty packaging. I wonder if they will reprint these or if this is it. I don't really collect action figures and don't know if they ever reprint stuff that is really popular.

No AMEX, so I guess I'll have to eat the shipping if I go TRU.

From my little bit of experience with collecting various items, this will be it.

It's possible that the company may come up with some other sort of line involving BB; 2-pack/3-pack set involving other characters, rather than a 6 inch figure, come out with a 12 inch figure. Or maybe release a different variation of Walter White with different accessories. But you probably will not see the exact same item.

I guess it depends on what rights the company has as far as producing these figures and whether they are interested in doing another line.

Re: Best price for Mezco BREAKING BAD Figures

I have one other suggestion for you. It has "Free Standard Shipping on ANY purchase of $79 or more." Buy $79 worth of stuff, then return the rest to your local TRU once you receive everything. You can return web orders to TRU now, credited back to your credit card. They used to give you store credit only, but their policy has been improved.

Thanks, I picked up a couple from a seller on eBay for 20 bucks a piece shipped. I was afraid that was it. It might be cheaper once the Breaking Bad craze subsides, but I didn't want to chance it.

Yes, I thought of that, but I've had problems with returning stuff to TRU and didn't want to get stuck with a bunch of stuff.

Re: Best price for Mezco BREAKING BAD Figures

I picked up a couple this weekend from TRU. I placed an order for in-store pickup but figured while I was there I would see if they had any more. Sure enough they had 4 more sitting on the shelf. Luckily the two I ordered were in mint/near mint condition so I did not have to do any switching.

No longer available for shipping. If you snoozed, you losed. But there is a 15% off coupon now, so if you can find it in-store, you can get it cheaper:

I saw that. I thought about getting another 1 or 2, but the only TRU in my area that has them is WAY too far to drive.

This figure is even better than I thought it would be. It is VERY DETAILED and looks to be of very good quality. Still wish I'd got the SDCC version when I had the chance, but I had no idea these were that cool.

Hopefully Mezco will release a yellow Walter White that is not an exclusive. But I'm glad I got the Heisenberg figure

Haven't been this excited about a show in years. BB really ended on top with a great finale and best drama at the Emmys. Hopefully there will be a deal on the complete series set.

Re: Best price for Mezco BREAKING BAD Figures

I have the yellow hazmat suit version of Walt that was released over the summer. It's fine for what it is but not worth the price I paid for it (it came out to be like $50 ordering directly from Mezco). The figure is really more of a statue and the sculpting on it and whatnot is fine but there's no articulation on the figure whatsoever. Also the glasses look kind of goofy on it. Still though for a fan of the show it's a decent collectible to sit on the shelf.

Re: Best price for Mezco BREAKING BAD Figures

I got my Heisenberg in yesterday. The packaging sucked and was actually held together by tape at the bottom. I usually take my figures out anyway so here he is.

Thinking about getting the Heisenberg figure to go with my Hazmat Suit Walt. I really wish Mezco would do a Jesse though. I have a feeling the line is dead though after these two sell out.

I would like to see a Gus with two swappable heads. Have him in the pose of adjusting his tie so that either head is appropriate. Also, a Jesse figure and maybe even a Mike would be cool. I would grab all three of those.

What would be even more cool, even though they'd be more expensive is if a 1/6th company like Hot Toys picked up the Breaking Bad license and went to town. Their figures are absolutely amazing and I can imagine what we'd get.

A Walter White 1/6th scale bust would be cool.
