Kroger: Digital Coupons for Free Items
The last few weeks, Kroger has had digital coupons for free items each Friday. If you have a Kroger card/account, you simply sign in and download the coupon to your card (good today only) Purchase the item in the store within the next 2 weeks and the discount is taken off at the register. The last couple of weeks have been a bag of chips and a 2-liter drink. Today, the freebie is a Gatorade protein shake. Here's the link

Interesting....I thought Smith's was part of "The Kroger Family of Stores" but don;t see them listed. No Krogers around here. I'll have to investigate a little.

Re: Kroger: Digital Coupons for Free Items
I received some coupons including free items from Kroger in the mail a few weeks ago but this is a nice option. Thanks Cardsfan!

Re: Kroger: Digital Coupons for Free Items
My wife & I use these digital coupons all the time.. while we never have had a "free" item not be discounted, we have had other offers not take.... We then have to call the Digital Coupon department and give some information and in a few days they put a credit on our account... That is a hassle .. but we recognize they are still working the kinks out of the system.. please not that you many times you cannot use a digital coupon and regular coupon on the same item and also the digital coupons do not double..

I looked yesterday in the snack aisle, the breakfast aisle, and the section where the Emerald almonds are kept - couldn't even find a blank spot with a shelf tag where the product would've been located. I suppose I've got 4 weeks to find it, and maybe some people enjoy going on a scavenger hunt when they hit the grocery store, but I sometimes wish these could be easier to find. |
Re: Kroger: Digital Coupons for Free Items
I'd have to agree with you kenbuzz. I haven't found the Breakfast on the Go product myself, though I shop at a Jay-C store which is usually smaller than the typical Kroger, so they may not even carry it. If you happen to locate it, let me know.
I found the Gatorade product last week much easier, but the only size my store carried was for a larger kind than was listed on the coupon so I didn't bother with it in case I got to the register and the discount wasn't given. It would be neat if store coupons like that listed what aisle the product was in--granted, each store is arranged a little differently--but it could be labeled breakfast, snack, etc. |

Today's freebie is a 5 ounce bag of Orville Redenbacher's ready-to-eat popcorn.

Re: Kroger: Digital Coupons for Free Items
BTW: I found the Emerald Breakfast-on-the-Go product. It was in with the breakfast bars, but none of the K-Rogers in Bloomington had them in stock for the first 2 weeks of the promo, so there wasn't even a shelf tag marking where they would be. I just happened to be spotted by a store manager while I was looking confused trying to figure out where they were.

Re: Kroger: Digital Coupons for Free Items
I didn't look at the breakfast area. I looked at the frozen juice where jamba juice smoothies were and I looked at dessert. So a double check would help. I looked at 2 stores and one was a bigger store.

Re: Kroger: Digital Coupons for Free Items
Don't know if this is much help but I did take another peek tonight. As I said before, it was just to the left of the frozen breakfast stuff. The freezer it was in contained mostly frozen juices (I know you indicated you checked there). The Dole Smoothies were on the top 2 shelves.
