I just emailed them about an issue ... didn't read all the pages in the thread here ... but, I emailed them at [email protected] (an email address they sent me a message from a long time ago when I had emailed them about something general before joining) instead of the online web form (which has a character limit on it).

I got an automated confirmation that my message was received within 10 minutes.

Well, my Hank Williams set came today. The seams of all 4 corners were somewhat split. I'm not going to bother sending it in for a replacement because a.) it's not that big of a deal considering I paid well less than half retail for it, and b.) I don't want to deal with their customer service.

Been having probs with YourMusic.com as well. I *finally* found a phone number after doing some Google searches and after contacting my CC company. I'll be calling tomorrow to dispute numerous charges they've hit me with for no reason. Their lousy email-only customer service sent me auto responses just the rest of the folks with no human response after a month.

They apparently do their billing out of Indiana, and a reverse lookup put them at 1400 S Fruitridge Ave, Terre Haute, IN 47803. I'm unsure as to the validity of that address since they were apparently bought out (Bertelsmann Direct North America by Direct Brands, Inc.).

I'll see how it goes...

^The address is probably good... it's the old CH CD club physical address. BMG bought them out several years ago.

Sorry to quote myself, but I must insist. Heed the call of Scandinavian jazz! I'm really having a great time exploring the ECM catalogue. Anouar Brahem's new one (The Astounding Eyes of Rita) has been in my rotation pretty heavily.

edit: If I could just pick two of the above five, it'd probably buy Holon and Nuove Musiche. Rolf has a new one out (Dimimuito) that has received some good press on NPR in the last couple weeks.

The problem is there is shit music coming out these days so I'm mainly looking for remasters or special editions of classic albums.

I'm still having trouble using my free cd's. In March, their 2 newest additions are xmas cd's from Martin & Sinatra. Pathetic!

I also resigned from CBS DVD Club a couple months back due to DREADFUL customer service. I don't think any of these "clubs" are going to be around much longer. I sure miss the old BMG & their giveaways!

Yes, the thread is discussing the current deals that can be found at yourmusic.com. You missed some incredible deals from BMG, before they went out of business. The problem with Yourmusic now is the serious lack of selections available for fans with large collections already. On top of that, standard pricing on retail CDs have gone down in the past year, making the differences in cost very scant.

Anyone have troubles with the 15% off ALL box set sale? I tried to order the Takacs Quartet, Late Beethoven String Quartets. 3 CDs. Box set, right?

The sale price didn't kick in. I emailed yourmusic last Thursday. Have not yet been graced with the courtesy of a reply.

Is it any doubt why this business is on life support?

Well, it seems my first try with yourmusic.com is not sweet. The first CD is backordered, and will be canceled if they can not fulfill the order in 25 days. Looks like I should back away from them...

Besides, I wonder what's happening to music these days. It's hard to find a real good tasty thing to listen to.

Finally used my 2 free cd's on the 2 Thin Lizzy titles they carry (I didn't have any in my collection). I have no clue how they're staying in business with the mediocre selection.

Someone mentioned ECM jazz a page or 2 back; I wish they had a more varied selection of ECM as i would be all over that!
