Re: Disney Movie Rewards - What did YOU get?

It sounds to me that your tube was damaged for the clear purpose of making it fit your mail box. That's not incidental, unfortunate-but-understandable damage. That's someone willfully jeopardizing the contents of the package for the sake of her convenience at best, and to get at you at worst.

I wouldn't mention any of the rest of the delivery issues when you complain, though; the last thing you want is to be dismissed as someone with some kind of petty conflict with a carrier. Keep specific to just this one delivery. But yeah, between you and me, it's certainly possible. My guess is she's one of those people who resent being asked to actually do her job. There's plenty of people like that out there, which is what makes it all the more unfortunate that so many willing people are unemployed. Maybe you have a name similar to an ex-boyfriend of hers or something. Who knows?

Yeah you should definitely complain to your PO. That is just ridiculous and a mean thing to do..

As everyone has mentioned, report it (calmly and politely) to your Post Office.

Reminds me of when a close friend of mine was telling me his the local Post Office in Berkeley, CA was delivering his 12" and 7" Vinyl badly. How badly? Trying to jam an LP into a mail box about half the size of it.

Re: Disney Movie Rewards - What did YOU get?

I received The Black Hole in the mail today. I was surprised to see the DMR logo on it. It's not listed on DMR as having points yet it had a code inside worth 75 points. The image of this DVD online also lacks the DMR logo on the front and back. Maybe they recently did this? Keep that in mind if you redeem points for this one.

BTW, to the new(?) ticket redemption method. I haven't submitted any in a while.

Any rumors of a double-points day coming up? I just got the three Toy Story films and Fantasia, and haven't entered the codes yet.

Same thing for That Darn Cat. I thought it wasn't eligible for the DMR points, but inside the case was a code for 75 points.

The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes and Treasure Of Matecumbe don't have codes, but are eligble for 75 points each. So save the receipt if you get those, you need it to get the points.

Re: Disney Movie Rewards - What did YOU get?

The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh: The Friendship Edition is supposed to be worth 100 DMR points but is not listed on their eligible list anymore. I hope when it comes in the mail that the code will still work anyway.

What will be in the final envelope that opens tomorrow on DMR? Double points? Free points? More titles added? Who knows!?

Thanks for the heads up snorlaxnut. I was considering getting That Darn Cat. Now I know that it comes with 75 DMR points.

I wish they'd add The Cat From Outer Space to the DVD rewards.

Did it come with the slipcover? Did it come with your regular mail or by itself?
Mine was shipped 'media mail'..

I'm waiting for mine also... I got a shipping confirmation on the 8th and was hoping to get it today, but didn't... : /

Re: Disney Movie Rewards - What did YOU get?

Pre-order Tangled BD Combo pack for $24.95 via DMR and get a bonus 200 points.

Not the best deal, but if you're close to earning something it might be worth considering.

I second this. Just saw this today. Hated having to actually mail in the tickets for points before. This works out so much better. Sending in my points for Tangled/Tron as we speak.

Also, just redeemed for the original Tron: Legacy film poster. I've been WAITING for this to be added as a reward. I was hoping they'd add it eventually as they have done for all their older releases.

Re: Disney Movie Rewards - What did YOU get?

I must have missed Michael's original remark about the new ticket submission method, but I, too, favor it. No more wondering whether the tickets themselves reached Disney properly; if there's a problem with the transmission I can re-take the photos and send again because I still have the stubs. I've only done this with Toy Story 3 so far (haven't made it to the theater much this year), but I dig it.

Re: Disney Movie Rewards - What did YOU get?

^ I've submitted a few ticket stubs using this "new" method:

Alice in Wonderland
Prince of Persia
Toy Story 3
The Sorcerer's Apprentice

Usually get in the account pretty quickly. I've scanned a few and taken pics on my iPhone. Both methods worked fine.

Re: Disney Movie Rewards - What did YOU get?

Here are some other codes for free Disney Movie Rewards points:
5 Points: Z3YH23XF8P and FM39V03SSW (these are newsletter codes for March and December. March still works. My December newsletter didn't have a code, but it exists)
25 Points: FPSNN83JX9
50 Points: 9EKSMN38SH
50 Points: 9FTMRYWEK

Some of these may have been posted before, but I'm listing them all just in case. Both my account and my wife's account were missing some of these (strangely, different ones in each account)

Re: Disney Movie Rewards - What did YOU get?

Thanks to the various bonus codes, I just ordered the Tron poster. I figured it's worth 550 points. I just hope it doesn't arrive mangled, like many of you have experienced in the past...

Sorry about the delayed response...I forgot about this thread!

My Narnia came with the slipcover and was sent Media Mail. I don't know if it was in with the regular mail or not because my wife got the mail from the box that day.

Did yours arrive?

Re: Disney Movie Rewards - What did YOU get?

Thanks for the codes - was able to enter the COOL 50 point one and the 25 point one
on both my dads and my account. The other ones we both had already entered.

According to my account - last year there was a 50 point code celebrating New Years 2010
so perhaps there will be one this year celebrating New Years 2011. (I entered the code on
Dec 28, 2009 so if theres a code this year - it should be out there starting some time today.)

LB...
