I am not super optimistic about this. I signed up for a Sports Illustrated book and another one and never received it. I know it is legit, but I imagine 500 goes quickly.

I'm self-employed and work out of my basement, so my home address is correct. I also never lie about what I do. Some people are less honest about things. Not a judgment (well maybe a little, but ... I'm not losing sleep over it).

If in doubt, go with the truth.

I also give them my mother's maiden name, phone number, social security number, and credit card numbers.....NOT! NEVER give any information that you don't want distributed widely and freely. Anybody who does so is either naive, foolish, or both. Honesty is not the best policy when it comes to the internet and/or direct marketing.

It's a magazine subscription. They have to have your address. As for your job ... how does lying about that put you at any less risk of junk mail than telling the truth? What logic does that follow?
