That happened to me last time I signed up for an Amazon Prime trial. I contacted them and they refunded the charge immediately, but they didn't remove my paid membership, so I ended up getting a full year for free.

It looks like Amazon didn't live up to the details listed in the promotion. Tried to sign up now (11:43 PM PST) and it said the promotion had expired. :(
