ok I read all the old threads. I know it's 2 per household. If I use the same credit card for a second account would my orders be canceled?

For buying these huge box sets, the one thread people used a 2/3 off and free shipping after 5 CDs coupon. Some of these boxsets if I used the 99cent CDs would still be an amazing price. This 16 CD Ella Fitzgerald set would cost me like $50 instead of $120. But after reading that thread it seemed that coupon working was an accident and lots of people had orders canceled. What would you guys recommend to do in this situation?

EDIT: I see the 99 cent CD doesn't work. I was thinking I would apply it and the 16 CDs would be $16 + shipping. So is there any good code to get box sets for cheap then? I take it I should just wait until a 2/3 off coupon arrives?

No. It'll be fine.

Yes, that code was an accident and probably won't happen again. If you want box sets and you want to minimize costs, the best bet is to fulfill with a box set and a B1G4 code or a 2/3 off w/ free shipping code, depending on how many CDs are in the box.

Gotcha, very interesting. The boxsets are tempting but I think I'll hold off on the very expensive ones unless with the 7 free I'm able to include a boxset.

I'll wait a few days before starting a new account or at least until I see that my orders have been shipped. I'm so happy I signed up, thanks again guys!

They used to let you get box sets with free cds. I don't know if they still do, so might want to call or email BMG.

Bought my 1 CD for $18.98. I thought the 7 free would be instant but it makes sense it has to get past the "processing" part before the offers show up.

This code has changed to 65% Off CDs, plus Free Shipping added to the main code list.

Makes $18.98 CDs $6.64 each, $19.98 CDs $6.99 each, $24.98 CDs $8.74 each, etc...
So this change did make a difference.

Hi everyone this is my first post. I have joined BMG several times over the last 15 years, I just cancelled an old account (after using all the free CD codes) and re-joined for the 15 for 1 deal. I used a buy 1 get 4 free to fufill my membership by typing in the promo code then adding 5 single discs to my cart and checked out, paid by credit card. I'm still seeing the "You have 1 CD Left to Buy" in the left column and it told me to use the j1w5 code to fufill when I click on that.
Is this going to work? Or should I quick cancel my b1g4 free order as it hasn't registered as fufillment? Cause I don't want to buy any full priced cds unless it counts.

It should work.

Your order is probably just still in the "processing" stage and it hasn't updated your account.

It's a shame the 65% doesn't count for box sets.

Yeah it is still processing. I figured it was something like that. I can't remember how that worked cause it has been 6 years since I completed a fulfillment when I joined in '02

I've only ordered 3 cds from them. I got two Jay Z cds that had that printed under the bar code. I also received a copy of Hootie & The Blowfish's self-titled album but it didn't have that printed on the back of the case.

I would prefer to get the discs that are the same as the ones in the stores but I guess there's no way to tell.

I would estimate 80-90% of them do. But then I buy a lot of jazz and classical.

The SACD hybrids don't. The UMG Deluxe editions don't, to my knowledge. Some of the Verve jazz stuff does, some doesn't.

Wrong. The SACDs do on especially the rock SACDs.

Which ones? I bought an Elton SACD that didn't. I don't think the Clapton Slowhand does, but honestly I haven't opened it. The barcode is the same.

I was wondering what the best deal or way to buy a box set is? Do any of the sales work on them, when its not an error?

The only sales that work on boxed sets are the 2/3 off with free shipping; and even then you'll only get free shipping and not the percent discount.

With the high shipping fees, that's the only way you should ever buy a boxed set. (They charge $2.79 for the first disc and $1.99 for each additional disc when shipping charges are applied.)

That is typical. Box sets are rarely discounted beyond the "special price" listed. The recent code that worked with them was a very rare exception and appears to have been a glitch of sorts.

Codes that offer free shipping with 5+ CDs will also work with sets and each CD in a set counts against the 5.

I have a question about the 3 and 1 free codes. It says they are one time use codes.Does that mean I can use just one code or all the codes once? There are 4 codes for each, that would mean 16 free cds.

This is a little off topic, but whenever I search for Motorhead I can't click on the name to show me the albums. Then I tried looking them up by song and then it does show the albums, but I can't add them to my cart.Anyone else having trouble with the website?

It probably means they don't carry any Motorhead albums anymore.

Does it only do that when you search for Motorhead, or is it any band? If it's the former, then I've encountered that when they've pulled all of the albums for that band, but the band name is apparently still listed in their system. (Though the only times I've ever encountered this is when there was only one album from the band I was searching for previously available on the site. I can remember that BMG has carried several Motorhead albums, maybe even spread across different labels. As such, it might be some kind of site glitch that's only effecting Motorhead.)

If it does for all of your searches, then it's probably site maintenance or something.
