And this one works with ALL the multi-packs and MOST of the boxed sets. The 10-CD $129 Led Zeppelin Set? $51.99 delivered!

Just closed my first account. I had 4 accounts at 2 different addresses and I just closed my first one tonight. I got an email saying that it'll take 3-4 business days for them to close the account. Once that's done, should I wait before opening another account with the same address? FWIW, different addresses aren't a problem for me at all. Since I'm in college, I move every year anyway. :)

SFranke 07-28-07 10:17 AM

You don't have to wait. If BMG doesn't want you to have an account after trying to join again so soon, then they just won't approve your account, and you can try again later.

I thought they blacklist you if they find you opening multiple accounts...oh well, I'll give it a shot later today.

SFranke 07-28-07 07:10 PM

You have by your own admission 4 accounts open, yet you're worried about a blacklist? 4 days won't get you on the blacklist, but 4 accounts is a good start.

Any new codes? Looking to fulfill an account with a b1g4 offer.

Ask and you shall receive...

Not sure of the expiration date on these but since they are July codes, I would not expect them to last long.

Good timing on the new codes. I need to fulfill an account ASAP and they also just added the remastered catalog of Elvis Costello. Thanks, Doctor X.

Doctor X - Wouldn't it be easier to edit the first post with new codes and delete the old ones that don't work so we can find them without looking through a bunch of posts? Either way I want to pass along a big thanks for your time in doing this. Maybe also add BMG's phone number in first post - 1(317)692-9200

Your money would be better spent hunting down the Rhino 2-disc versions. Some of the bonus discs are better than the albums they accompany. Every one I've heard has been excellent. They're not hard to find and they're not that expensive. Might want to get 'em while you still have the chance.

Thanks for the heads-up. I assumed that these were the Rykodisc versions. Oh well, I already own most of the Rykodisc versions already-I just need to pick up two of his weaker efforts(IMO of course, but still very good albums)-Goodbye Cruel World and Punch the Clock.

Funk 07-31-07 08:36 PM

All (?) of the new E.C.'s that just showed up on BMG are from Hip-O (Universal.)
Ryko did special editions. Then a few years ago, Rhino did them again. Then last year Hip-O started doing one disc versions that match the running orders of the original US albums.

There's a ton of info out there (try www.stevehoffman.tv/forums) and the general consensus is that the Rhino versions are the way to go, both for bonus material and for sound quality. YMMV (but I doubt it :) .)

The thread wouldn't get bumped if the first post is edited. Besides, it is not that hard to find the latest codes if you work your way backwards.

Manos 08-01-07 01:26 PM

I actually prefer this format. New codes only last a few days, and they don't expire on the same day. It's an editing nightmare to remove each expired code only, leaving the codes still in effect.

ec461 08-01-07 03:45 PM

Yeah, I like the way it is now too - i.e. posting codes in a new post. It gives me an incentive to keep up with the whole thread and read other members' posts.

Josh-da-man 08-02-07 03:28 AM

I prefer the curent format as well.

With threads like this, that are constantly being updated with new information, I find it much easier to just read the new posts instead of reading the new posts AND flipping back to the first page.
