For future codes, how does everyone suggest I handle it? Trivia? Random Tally? Rap Battle? Something that's fair to our regular board members. I'm open to suggestions.

What about just making a list of members who want the codes, with whatever requirements are necessary to make the list clear in advance (perhaps giving some greater weight to people who post more?), and then cycle through the list in order each time you get a code? Based on how the conversation has progressed then that strikes me as one of the more "fair" ways to go about it.

My apologies; I didn't mean to make it seem like I was upset at you. The fact that you're giving the codes away, in and of itself, is VERY cool. I was upset at these folks that probably google searched coke rewards and signed up just to be able to get email alerts at a post in the thread and then come snag a free code.

I'll gladly take a PMed code if you have one, but if not, please don't feel that there's ANY animosity toward you. It's the code lurkers that get my goat. haha

If you are looking for suggestions, though, when I was just freely giving codes away all willy nilly, after posting them here so often (and them being taken and no one posting that they'd been taken), I did just what you were suggesting. I put up a post telling folks that if they had any interest, to post and then I'd PM them the code(s). That way, judging by post count, whether they even tried to appear polite/grateful, etc, I could give the codes to board members in good standing.

Thanks again. The fact that you're giving them away is very cool.

I'll second (or is it third or fourth?) that it's cool that you post codes, The Valeyard. I don't have any suggestions. I'm thankful you've chosen not to just post them. Nothing more irritating than trying a code that's already been redeemed.

Oh, I'm not mad that I'm not getting codes, The Valeyard. I'm just saying it's ridiculous that lurkers show up to get freebies. When I'm giving away stuff like this here, I just say "first person with xxxx amount of posts" or "whoever has been here over 5 years" can have it.

Have a list of names generated with DVDTalk Members who have more than (say) 50 posts to their name. Then whenever I get a code, I'll just go down the list. It's not a bad idea unless the list ends up being over 1000!

Any other ideas?

Seriously though, it is nice of Valeyard and others to offer up their codes... I've been doing that with my DewXP codes, since I have no use for them.

Works for me. I'm not going to lurk the thread hoping for free codes all the time but if I'm on someone's list and get codes in order I'll graciously accept them each time my turn rolls around. Very cool of The Valeyard to worry about us

Didn't take long for 2 of the 200 CARS logo illluminated signs to get to ebay for about $300 each. I'm hoping mine will arrive tomorrow since it shipped mid last week & it almost always takes 4 business days for UPS to deliver from Disney in Wisconsin to me in Florida. Nice to know it's worth that much. I'd figured as much since it used to be 10,000 points & dropped to 8,000 in recent years (of course I got it for 1,500 during the 12 days of XMas).
