BTW...was that problem ever solved? I know about the recall, but I don't know what the resolution was (if any). In fact, that last time my local news mentioned it, they stated that there might be human food affected too...

As far as resolution, you can get a refund for the food that you had to throw out (by contacting the manufacturer directly). And I am sure there will be a bunch of lawsuits in the near future for pain/suffering/loss/medical bills and such.

Lulu and Zuzu are already dreaming about it. Thank you!
They've been eating Iams since we got them. I tried to switch to a cheaper brand once, and they both turned their noses up to it. Spoiled kitties.

Iams (and Procter & Gamble) do horrible animal testing. There are videos on the web, though I can't look for them here at work to link them, but I imagine if you were to google Iams and animal testing, it could be found very easily.
I can understand why animal testing is done, and again, I'm not preaching, but when a pet food company needs to do tests on dogs (other than taste testing!), I can't support that.
No Iams for me, but thanks for the deal. I'm sure there are lots of people who will enjoy it.

I fed Science Diet for a good long time, but I've recently started switching my dog over to this:
http://www.sojos.com/
Would love to feed her a raw diet, but that just seems like too much work. Maybe someday...
Again, I hate that it sounded like I was preaching. I'm not an animal activist by no means. I only know about the Iams thing from the beagle message boards that I frequent, and if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't know, or even care. Just want to let people know what's going on. I've also read a lot about how Iams passes itself off as a premium dog food, when in reality it isn't...
I sincerely appologize for hijacking the thread. Most people won't care about this, and I don't mind. But someone might be interested.
