JVC DVD Recorder w/ 160GB Hard Drive - $150
 

Pretty good price at Ecost.com for a "Manufacturer Recertified" model that used to sell for upwards of $500. There used to be some glitch with JVC DVD recorders that caused them to have loading problems, so YMMV.
