Now it's in both.

Funny, their website says, "Print this page to redeem this offer in store", but the coupon fine print says, "No copies/facsimiles". Confused they may be...

sotra 12-09-06 10:47 AM

Just bring in the coupon code no. and the cashier will take $5 off your Staples brand purchase.

Thanks!

Thanks!

For what it's worth, I printed the coupon and took it in to Staples only to be rejected because the register indicated it had already been used. You sure this isn't a one-time use code?

DAMN!! I sure as hell hope not... That also means that I gave my discount code away and won't be able to use it for myself... Oh well... Merry Christmas!!!

Thanks - great post.

dcprules 12-12-06 11:16 PM

Anyone able to use this and have it work, or is it a one time use code?

I spent 20 minutes in the store today figuring out what to use the coupon on and then was rejected.

Rotten post because it was a one use only coupon and it had already been used. Glad I needed to go to the store next door and didn't make a special trip just for this.

Geez, talk about ungrateful. In case you didn't notice, the OP also lost out on the deal by giving away his one time use coupon. Besides, if the post time on your previous "Thanks - great post" is any indication, you should have already known the $5 off coupon was dead.

Has anyone had any trouble with these besides me? Seems like everytime I try to use these "Customer Appreciation" coupons, they always want to know where I got it, who I work for, ect. In fact, the last time I tried, they wouldn't honor it at all, saying that fake coupons were showing up on Fat Wallet.

I think these coupons are meant for the employees of their corporate accounts. Anyone have the name of a good nation-wide company to drop?

Aphex Twin 12-14-06 01:05 PM

Thanks! I don't usually go to Staples, but will make a special trip tonight.

I have a staples coupon question, which I might as well post here. I'm looking to buy an item that is $190 after $40 "instant savings". Even though the site says "dollar off" coupons cannot be used on items with coupons/instant savings it seems people at FW post deals that require both all the time. Are they not enforcing that restriction or is there some way to get it to work? I want to know before I buy a 30off150 from ebay.

bigjim25 12-16-06 09:38 AM

I wanted to let you know the 12% off coupon worked for me last night. I stocked up on blank Sony DVD+Rs which go off sale today
4 100 packs $24.98 each on sale
2 50 packs $14.98 each on sale (2 Christmas gifts)
Subtotal $129.88
Discount $15.59
Tax $6.86
Total $121.15

tbwmp88 12-16-06 06:18 PM

The $5 off didn't work, but the 12% does.

SRGilbert 12-16-06 07:06 PM

I didn't bother with the $5 coupon, but the 12% coupon worked fine, they didn't even question it. Used it on the MailMate shredder, making it about $42 after the $20 rebate. Thanks!
