Outstanding. Now I'll ditch the free McAfee that my wife hates because it slows down her computer so much.

Thanks for the heads up.

Norton won't be any better. It's always been the slowest, IMO.

I've run Norton on that system before with better results, and I run Norton elsewhere with better results. I regret cheaping out when Comcast started offering free McAfee and installing it instead of paying for Norton.

Uh - don't mean to dampen but I do not think you will make any money, instead just be denied the rebate that makes you money. Most rebates say that you will not get back more than the purchase price, so one of 2 things will happen, they will cut you a special check that will even you out or deny the rebate completely (which I have seen happen).

So be careful and be sure that they will not deny it because you will make money.

Good luck !

I just picked up a single copy of Norton 2007 at Buy last month and got the full $30 credit card rebate. I made $3 on that deal, so there's no reason not to dive in for the 3-pack. I did.

Which was the case with our P4 Dell laptop, it would take forever to load on startup. But with the new Core Duo that replaced it, it finishes loading in about 15 seconds if not sooner.

Got my rebate for the full $40 amount on Saturday. They must not have entered my e-mail address from the rebate form because I never heard a word about my submission. I figured it was lost.
