Restaurant.com codes.....

<a href="http://www.restaurant.com/index.asp?rpid=1647&raid=999&AID=5674455&PID=1768450" target="_blank">Restaurant.com</a> - 60% off of dining certificates, code: 65639

Restaurant.com has $10 gift certificates for $3, and $25 gift certificates for $10, so with the new code you can get:

$10 certificate for $1.20

$25 certificate for $4

Some prices may vary by restaurant, some certificates may require 4 people at your table, and some may have other restrictions on use. Restaurant.com is good at issuing refunds for people who have problems redeeming a certificate.

Man, that's a damn-good deal. Some nice restaurants in my area. Thanks dude.

X 09-26-06 12:54 PM

How does that work? If the conditions say "Minimum purchase of $50/2 entrees", can you use two $25 certificates (bought for $10 each) for a $50 meal? With 60% off that would come to $8.

pizzamousechips 09-26-06 12:59 PM

I definitely need elaboration, because this is insanely good.

SuperJim88 09-26-06 01:36 PM

On all the restaurants that I've seen, all has condition of minimum spending. So it really is a promotional deal to get you to go to their restaurant. Still pretty nice deal though.

Each certificate is different, you'll need to read through that restaurant's restrictions. I've used several of these over the past 4 years and have never had a problem. Some of the places ask that you spend a minimum amount of money and then apply the coupon. One place I frequent uses them and asks that the minimum order be at least $40.00 before you apply the $25.00 gift certificate (non-stackable). Another place I use them at just considers it $25.00 cash good towards a bill at any price and let's me combine them.

X 09-26-06 02:00 PM

When do you get a chance to read if there are more restrictions than the one I posted?

Oh, I see. It's a tab called Dining Certificates.

This one doesn't look so good.

Valid Sunday-Thursday with a minimum purchase of $50/2 entrees.

Limit one (1) dining certificate per redemption. Only one dining certificate can be used per party, even if the party is seated at separate tables and/or receives more than one check.

Use of dining certificates for alcoholic beverages is at the sole discretion of the merchant.
So you need to buy 2 entrees and spend at least $50 for you to be able to use a $25 certificate that costs $4. If they don't allow alcohol to make up the $50 it's not quite as good as a buy-one-entree-get-one-free unless you get cheaper entrees and spend the rest on appetizers.

Minor Threat 09-26-06 02:10 PM

Yeah - sounds like a simple gift certificate, non-stackable. Was there no minimum on it though? You could go eat there and spend $52.00 and drop the $50.00 and get out cheap.....

None in my area. Closest 3 are in New Orleans. Do these restruants change often? Does anyone know?

mh4268 09-26-06 02:31 PM

This is a great deal if you have a restaurant you like on the list. Lemme see a $50 meal for 8 bucks equals more cocktails that night, woo-hoo.

Trevor 09-26-06 03:21 PM

Thanks OP. For $20 I now have $125 worth of food at a restaurant I like that is in walking distance.

That's the way I figured it.

scarab007 09-26-06 10:21 PM

Is this a one time use code - ie in the sense that I can use it once and that's it (so I better order all the stuff I want in bulk) or can I try a few places and then order some more w/ the code?

Buford T Pusser 09-27-06 12:20 AM

Any deals on burritos? :D

Stormfront13 09-27-06 10:10 AM

Bought some of these yesterday and tried it out last night. The waitress looked at it funny but there were no problems with them accepting it. Time to stock up!

I've never tried reusing a code, but once you're on their list, expect to get a new code (40-60% off) once every week or two, so don't worry about having to buy enough to last the rest of the year or anything (and keep in mind that they all expire one year after purchase).

I've used these for years to try various restaurants (and go back to some that became favorites). I've looked into the site from the restaurant's point of view, and they get NO compensation for the certificates, it's basically "free" advertising for them. That's why there are so many caveats to many of the certificates. I'm shocked that one restaurant was willing to stack them.

Caliking 09-27-06 08:13 PM

great find...i will be using this. thank you.

For those that are planning to stock up, keep in mind that ALL their certificates limit one use per month per restaurant. Also, you can only use one at a time.

Each resturant can also impose their own restrictions, such as Sun-Thu only, minimum 4 people, or minimum consumption (food only, exlcudes beverages). The minimum party requirement is the worst, because using a $25 cert only nets you $5.25 per person if you HAVE to bring four people.

There is also a slight chance that the restaurant may reject the certificate. It happened to me once when I waited nearly six months before trying to redeem the gift certificate. If this ever happens, you can go back to Restaurant.com and get a mega certificate which will allow you to pick an equivalent certificate at another network restaurant.

whotony 09-30-06 11:31 PM

seems to good to be true.

example

$25 cert for $10 coupon code makes it $4.

so i get a $25 for $4 and have to spend $35.
so i spend $14 on a $35 meal??

whotony 09-30-06 11:48 PM

did the code expire.
i was adding restaurants and then went to checkout and the code said expired\

it was showing the discounted price then it went to no discount.

also i left the site and lost my entire cart.

cgray 10-01-06 11:24 AM

used one last night at a nice denver area restaurant. deal was $25 off with purchase of two entrees. our meal total (two entrees and soup) was $38, +tax, +tip = $48 meal. subtract the certificate and add the cost of the certificate, the meal was about $27. nice price.

thanks OP

Now that you're a customer, expect to get new coupons every few weeks (40-60% off). I get them FAR more often than I'm prepared to use them. I generally just delete them when I see them in my inbox because I know another one will be coming around soon.

mh4268 10-05-06 03:51 PM
