Facebook users: 25 different FREE songs from Itunes every week.

www.facebook.com

If you're a facebook user (i.e. college/high school student), you can get an Itunes code for 25 free songs every Monday until September 30th by joining the "Apple Students" group. Each week, Apple releases a playlist of 25 songs from a specific genre (last week was Alternative, this week is Electronica, next week is supposed to be Rock). After joining, you just click the link in the Apple Students group, and they will send the redemption code to your facebook messages. Each code can only be used once, however, so if you use your code, you unfortunately can't share it with your friends.

I know that facebook has added business networks in addition to their college and high school networks, but I'm unsure if these networks can access the "Apple Students" group.

And to clarify further, you DON'T get to pick the songs you get! Each code automatically downloads a specific playlist of 25 songs (the list of songs is posted each week in the group).

Happy downloading to those who can use it!

Thanks! This week's electronic playlist is shockingly good, too (though I've already got most of the best tracks on their respective albums, i.e. Junior Boys, James Figurine, Daedelus, etc).

How long does it take to get the code after joining the group?

Edit: Nevermind, the page wasn't displaying right in Firefox

Yeah, me too. Does anyone have a list of what the 25 songs were?

Cool Thanks!
Any idea where I can find the code to last week's sampler? Is it even still valid? I know this one is valid until the end of Aug.

As I stated in the first post, the codes can only be used once. More than likely any code you find will have been used already. Here's the one I used, if you can somehow figure out how to change letters and such around to get it to work, be my guest (unlikely, of course).

H7LYHHEHE4YF (Already used by me so this code won't work, to reiterate)

Cool idea. I hadn't used the iTunes Music Store before, so when I entered the code, it looked like the playlist download started, but then I was asked to enter my ID. After that, I was sent to the agreement page, which I did. But it looks like the songs weren't added and the code's already been used. Oh well.

This weeks sampler is Alternative again, however they aren't the same as the first Alternative sampler, it is, of course, 25 NEW songs this week (so this is Alternative Sampler Vol.2 basically) This one has Alien Ant Farm, Nada Surf, and others.

Bump for great justice. Move zig.

Electronic 2 this week. Some decent stuff.

Too bad about earlier weeks. I'd have liked a couple of those sets.

I guess the only way to get them at this point would be if someone didn't or doesn't want to use their code and gives it to you. The codes seem to have about a month until they exipre.

I haven't listened to everything so far, but City of Love by Persephone's Bees is great! I think I'm gonna buy their album (released today).
