going on a short 3 day vacation from seattle to las vegas (july 6-9) and was wondering if you guys knew of any good deals on places to stay, airline rates. been looking at expedia.com. is this the best place to look? gonna try to book flight tomorrow for 3 people total. seems the going rate for airfare and hotel is about $500/person. any other places i should be looking? thanks!

Depending on when you need to book your hotel by, try signing up for the hotel newsletters. I think this is their cheaper period, given the heat perhaps, and you might be able to find a room for closer to $100 per.

Just visit any of the hotel sites and they will have something on their main page, or perhaps rooms section, about email promotions/newsletters etc.

Do you have a specific hotel you want to stay at or on/off strip?

click on reservations, then vacation packages. Your trip can cost a total of (per person) $441 (Stardust), $546 (Luxor), or up to $766 (Bellagio, Lake View).

You can either call and mention the code, or you can enter the code during online reservation.

The rate for a deluxe room with promo code at Mirage is 7/6@$89, 7/7@$149, and 7/8@$169.

that comes out to $407. wish that included airfare. for 3 people we are paying $524 per person which includes 3 nights at mirage and roundtrip airfare. does this sound decent?

Your expedia's Mirage room reservation is $146/night. The only two deals I found better are Treasure Island @$132/night, and New York-New York @ $127/night. I think you got a decent deal.

These are the promo items you get when you use the codes.

New York-New York Promo:
• Park Avenue Upgrade
• 2 FREE Drinks
• 2 for 1 Il Fornaio Breakfast
• 2 for 1 Nine Fine Irishmen Lunch
• Admission for 2 to the Spa
• 2 Roller Coaster passes

Treasure Island Promo:
•Free Upgrade to a Strip View Room
•Complimentary Welcome Cocktail
•$15 Lunch or Dinner Food and Beverage Credit
•$20 Freeplay
•Upgrade to a suite for as little as $60 more and receive $50 in Freeplay, as well as invited guest check-in, and much more!
