need help on where to buy nice oak bookcases for my family room. Would spend up to 500.00 for each.Thanks

I'd check out some local carpenters, and see what they would charge you; they could be customized for your space. No idea how big you need them, though.

If there are Amish in your area you should find a local woodworking shop that will make them.

We had a Stepback Cupboard custom made for about 1/8 the price of the one we were looking at getting. Of course it wasn't Tiger Maple wood, but painted pine, but still...
