One has to use the coupons for eligible products,. Guess who those are made by? Hmmm!

Looks like BG actually wins again!

I only skimmed through the article, but it noted:

Consumers will be able to redeem the coupons toward any technology purchase at any store - not just computers and not just Microsoft products.
Edit: And from the Microsoft site:

Q: What can the vouchers be used for?

A: You can exchange your vouchers for cash by submitting proof of purchases you made after February 3, 2006 of the following computer products: Any desktop, laptop, or tablet computer made by any manufacturer for any operating system platform, or any of the following devices: printers, scanners, monitors, keyboards, or pointing devices (e.g. mouse, trackball). Qualifying software includes any non-custom software offered by any software vendor for use on a desktop, laptop or tablet computer. The qualifying computer hardware or software does not have to be a Microsoft product. After you submit proof of purchase to the Settlement Claims Administrator (either with your claim form or your voucher) a check will be sent to you for the amount of your purchase. The Settlement Claims Administrator will keep track of any remaining value on the voucher for your use in making future purchases. The claim form instructions and the voucher will explain the redemption procedure in more detail.

It doesn't look like there were any newer threads related to this settlement, but I received my vouchers a couple months ago. Anybody use them? What exactly can they be used on? I'd love to put them towards a new zune if possible, but they're not exactly a computer product.

wow, talk about a thread revival!

How much did you get?

I actually got $63.00. It describes qualifying computer hardware as :
-Desktop, laptop, or tablet computers
-printers
-monitors
-scanners
-keyboards
-mouse or trackball

An mp3 player certainly doesn't fit in these categories. I suppose maybe and ipod touch could be a stretch in the tablet department, but I'm sure they'd deny it.

Now if only I can find the receipt for the monitor I bought last summer.

I got $34. It made the monitor I bought last fall a great deal instead of only a good deal. :-)

I got I think $27 but I don't think I ever actually 'got' it
