Kerasotes Theatres FIVE BUCK CLUB (It's free to join.)
Has anyone else in Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota and Ohio seen the Five Buck Club advertised at your local Kerasotes Theatre? It's actually a pretty sweet deal and it's FREE.
from the website:
What's the Deal?
After a particular film has played a certain number of weeks — at least two — but occasionally more, our contracts with the film companies allow us to offer you a discounted price, so admission to those films will be available to club members for only $5.
How Do I Get It?
Fill out the information on the right and we will mail you a card, for free.
How Do I Use It?
Just present it at the box office along with your five bucks for one admission.
How Do I Know When I Can Use the Five Buck Club™ Card?
Every Thursday we will send you the show times for the coming week for our participating theatres. An image of the Five Buck Club™ card will identify which movies the Five Buck Club™ card can be used for.
(You will not find this information in the newspaper or on our Kerasotes.com website.)

I'm sorry this is only available to a few of you in the midwest, but I thought it was great considering how expensive it is to go to a movie theater.

I received my card w/in two days and I just checked the website I posted above and half the movies listed at my local theater are eligible right now, particularly a few of the Best Picture nominees.

Got my card almost immediately, too. Got one for my wife as well.
Funny, the Five Buck Club website says that you'll have to read your weekly email to find out which movies are eligible any given week, going so far as to say that the info will not be available in the papers or their website. I'm presuming they mean the Kerasotes.com website, since you can get a list of eligible movies at FiveBuckClub.com.

For me (Bloomington IN) the following are available:
Annapolis - Big Mommas House 2 - Brokeback Mountain - Capote - Chronicles of Narnia
Glory Road - Hoodwinked - Last Holiday - Matador - Nanny McPhee - New World
Underworld: Evolution - Walk the Line
The movies not yet eligible are:
Curious George - Final Destination 3 - Firewall - Last Holiday
Match Point - Pink Panther - Something New - When A Stranger Calls
