Minnesota - Eden Prairie Mall
There is a store in Eden Prairie Mall (located where Mervyns use to be) that is selling a lot of random items dirt cheap. Books, Clothes, a few DVD's & CD's, Household stuff... all 60% off. I picked up 3 Sin City books and a calendar. First rate stuff... a few books I picked up recently for full retail I found on their tables (1776, How to Make Love the Bruce Campbell Way). Saw many copies of I Heart Huckabees too. Also had boxes of the newest Harry Potter book. Very disorganized - you'll spend a while digging through stuff, but it can be worth it.

Is the store called "Banks"?
There is one in Brooklyn Park in the Brookdale Center. They have a lot of similar stuff. It looks like an Office Maxx with clothes. I think a lot of it is from New Orleans because some of the packages look like they have been wet.
This one has been open for about a month and it's pretty well cleaned out.
50-60% off.

Just checked it out. I think the inventory is from Dillards. Lots of nice stuff but it's a mess. I came away with some books and a nice pair of Kenneth Cole shoes for $33.

The DVDs include:
HUCKABEES
STAR TREK INSURRECTION
FIFTH ELEMENT
MINDHUNTERS
BEFORE SUNSET
DE-LOVELY
RIDING THE BULLET
Indeed, the place is a mess, and run like a prison riot. The checkout lines are brutal. I spent 25 minutes in line while a 14 year-old rung everybody up in slow motion.
I think most of the good are from Florida, since there are guidebooks for Miami (even Happenings books!) everywhere.

The DVDs were scattered about, and might actually be gone by now, since there was a crowd when I was there.

DVD Talk Platinum Edition
Just heard this advertised on the radio. If they're advertising, and they have a limited stock in the first place, it might get picked over pretty rapidly

I was able to find 3 more pairs of shoes and about a dozen books.
They are starting to put the books in boxes and put them on shelves. So it's very hard to find anything. There is still a lot of stuff left.
I saw some nice fur coats for up to $17,000..........

DVD Talk Platinum Edition
I stopped by, found a couple DVDs, but nothing of interest (Kinsey, De-Lovely, Before Sunrise and some anime) Had a copy of A Dame to Kill for and Prisoner of Azkaban stashed, but those got taken while I was seeing a movie... fortunately, those were the ones I wanted least.
Oh, and I forgot to mention in my earlier post, when I heard it on the radio, they advertised not only this place (I believe it was "Direct Merchandise Clearance,") but "Banks" in Blaine as well
