Buy $50 iTunes gift card, get 25 songs free
You must use PayPal, you can send the gift card to yourself, requires iTunes to be installed, etc. Click on the link at www.apple.com/itunes if the one below doesn't work.

Worked without a hitch. I picked up two for myself, so basically you get $150 in music for $100. The bonus is instantly credited to your account etc. and all rdy to be used. Thanks.

Also, if you go the apple.com/itunes website, you should see a little snippet for it, I did.

Or no?
Or no?
I've seen a few people selling certs that I'm sure are doing just that.
When you buy them you just get a certificate for the value you buy, and you have to redeem that to get the money out of it, the credits happen to your account automatically.
So if you got the certificate email, don't redeem it, you could sell it to somebody no problem.

Whoa - what a hassle! In order to connect my iTunes account with PayPal I had to go from an IE browser to iTunes and then BACK to IE to link the accounts. I use Netscape, so when it jumped back out of iTunes, I lost the connecttion. Resetting IE to be the preferred browser through Internet Settings finally fixed the problem if anyone is having similar issues.

I'm interested in doing this, but I'm kind of new to the iTunes thing. If I download a song, can I only play it on my computer or can I burn it to a CD and play it in my car or home stereo?

Just burn them onto a CD-Rom and then you can rip it back onto your PC unprotected in a mp3 format (not AAC) and then you can do whatever you want with them. You can do the same thing with Real Player and MSN as well for what its worth. Sound quality my deteriorate a little, but its not noticeable to me through headphones.
It's kind of a hassle, so I'll wait until I have around 15 songs downloaded before going through the process.

Excellent! My husband got me this last night. I had to help him since we use Firefox. Just reset IE to my default browser and it worked like a charm. Best part was, he did it through my iTunes account so I got the free songs AND the $50 gift certificate! Now I wish I'd known about it when I bought my sister a $30 certificate. I would have bumped it $20 and enjoyed 25 more songs!

Do the 25 songs credit have to be used to buy individual songs, or can it be used to pay the whole album price. If an album is 9.99 but has 20 songs will it take away 9.99 from the 50 dollar credit or 10 songs from the 25 free songs? Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm new to iTunes.
Thanks,
Joe

Just so anyone else is notified, the 25 free songs cannot be used to pay the "buy album" price, you would need to buy each song individually (fine for disks 10 songs and under, but not good for longer disks or itunes originals where you can't get some tracks without buying the whole album at once). Since I'm not a "single" sort of guy, I will try to find some shorting things to use my free credits on.
