512MB iPod Shuffle $59.99 at Aldi B&M... YMMV

10/10 thru 10/16

Can't find this online, but the insert in our local paper showed that they had 512MB iPod Shuffles for $59.99 at Aldi this week only. Here's the Aldi website, but good luck finding any confirmation... http://aldi.us

YMMV... check your local Aldi if you've got one, and if you're certain that nobody who knows you will see you walk in. (FYI, I love Aldi's prices.... it's just the "food stamp" mentality that puts some people off...)

Also, I believe, they don't take credit cards ... only debit (maybe?).

Oh?

We have been buying most of our food from Aldi, Trader Joe's and Costco. Rarely go to the grocery store we once frequented.

Interesting. Which is your favorite Aldi Sam? Tiedemann?

I decided not to rush over and grab one since it only does shuffle. I tend to hear whole albums in order and not just put singles on for a listen.

Aldi? Is that the same store where you can buy 10 beat up cans of chili for $1?

My parents used to haul me into Aldi's to buy chicken, which I always joked was from Chernobyl Farms (Married with Children reference, I think).

Aldi's is HUGE in europe, but in the US it caters to "urban" neiborhoods but for what it sell's it does very very well.

They are opening in the nicer suburbs around here. At first people were surprised that the store was opening in our town.

i hate these stores...tried shopping there, and they had next to nothing. I guess paying for shopping carts, paper sacks, and the like just rubbed me wrong...wouldn't mind if they had a great selection, but it was butter cookies and shasta for the most part.

There are a bunch of these stores here in central Indiana and everyone that I stopped by to check all said they sold out within 2 hours of the store opening. Tried to see if Wal-Mart or Best Buy would price match the Aldi price, but it was a no go. Thought it was worth a try! Was going to pickup a couple of these suckers for a Christmas gift for my daughter and one for me to wear around work. Would rather have the new iPods for home/car and the Shuffle for work/exercising.
